COMM ID: HANS / ATTACHMENT

Best I can do. Censoring's not my work.
No luck finding the original either.

You're thinking too rigidly. I didn't jump to that purely because of the smoking. Holiday was suffering from memory loss, and we all assumed that it might have something to do with something else. I believe some people threw around that it might even have to do with Lachesis (the L. Chases connection was strong then). What if there was another answer the entire time?

Possession doesn't necessarily mean that he's in control all the time.

But it'd explain a lot of things.

im beginning to consider "youre thinking too rigidly" a nonsense phrase you use whenever i disagree with you
i also dont miss the irony in it being used almost exclusively when i point out how narrowly focused you are on a single facet
its entirely possible that your theory is true
but it would only be part of the truth
there are too many pieces missing
like how it would fit with quismas recorded appearance in 2007
or his appearance at the procession in september for that matter
the smoking has already been indicated as something worth looking at yes
but how did the hornets know that
did they actually know it or was what now looks like a clue just an idle comment

the ultimate problem is we dont know enough about quisma
and while we have plenty of reasons to have our suspicions we need to learn more before we can reach a legitimate conclusion
selfequipped: (why are you shirtless?)

Listen to my elaboration.

[Kate feels like that covers all of the points. But no, they don't know enough about Quisma. But it feels like the writing is on the wall when Clark's additions are made.]

[personal profile] glowsferatu 2014-12-31 11:21 pm (UTC)(link)
okay
but if his control wasnt total that actually makes the smoking odder
the captain must have continued it on his own if it lingered beyond quismas influence
we need to find ways to confirm this
or even if not confirm this particular theory then answers to the other questions it raises
its curious to consider that the first time he came to our attention is also the last time holiday appeared publicly
selfequipped: (okay step one: less failure)

[personal profile] selfequipped 2015-01-06 05:27 am (UTC)(link)
I think Clark's going to talk to his husband, so that'll help us out a lot.

But that last one is a sticking point to me. I'm worried that that appearance may have also gotten the government's attention. That's just me worrying out loud, so don't take that as an attack or anything.

[personal profile] glowsferatu 2015-01-07 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
for that to have been the case the government would need to have already known or quickly deduced that quisma is a factor in holidays condition
for the sake of argument assuming that is the case
according to mr kent his husband had however mentioned an episode in september that may have more likely brought him under scrutiny
though it is possible that something that occurred as a result of that appearance may have caused this episode
id be more skeptical that it came from the appearance itself

that said the most im sure they know of quismas visit to the memorial is what we imports have said about it
so if they did that wouldve been a good one on our parts
selfequipped: (why do you have six horns?)

[personal profile] selfequipped 2015-01-07 08:59 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm concerned that it may be a combination of factors. We're clearly under scrutiny no matter what we do, but isn't Quisma's visit to the memorial something that we weren't exactly silent about? I can't account for everyone, but I was under the impression that most of us spilled the beans. Spilling the beans is necessary.

But no matter what it is, the one thing we can count on is that the government would know about Quisma's powers. Way better than us. That doesn't confirm or deny anything. In fact, it makes me wonder just how we should be looking at all of this.

[personal profile] glowsferatu 2015-01-10 09:46 am (UTC)(link)
i think we can take for granted that they know quismas appeared then
and that somewhere in the mass of bureaucracy someone must have access to his file
who exactly that person might be isnt exactly a certainty
what conclusions they may have reached is similarly unclear
im honestly not sure i expect enough of them to think they may have drawn those lines if those lines are really there

if anything this could be the other side to keeping the flow of information so open
but keeping that flow is no less important for it
we May need to find some way to retain that openness in a more secure fashion

Got any ideas that don't possibly isolate newcomers from the information?

[She's asking because she'd love for their network to be private-run, but since the government is giving out the communicators, and it's hard to keep track of everyone new ...]

it would need some sort of reliable and proactive distribution method
theres always pamphlets

While I am employing the effective use of colorful cute business cards (yay alliteration) for my imPort FAQ, we might need to think bigger.

Maybe someone can advocate for us taking over it, so that even the handed out communicators are ... well, already keyed in.

somehow i doubt that they would allow us to assume that role from them especially if it noticeably changes any activity on the monitored network
and especially when this current discussion of moving beyond that monitoring is also potentially being monitored
official involvement kind of defeats the purpose

You know, though, you do have to feel bad for the guys who get paid to read/watch/listen to everything we say on here.

[personal profile] glowsferatu 2015-01-16 09:53 am (UTC)(link)
do we really though
i think having to read through all the mundane questions or hearing about everyones new pets and the party theyre hosting for whatever holiday is just the price of admission
if they want any legitimate information they should absolutely have to suffer every second of the rest
selfequipped: (all purple is acceptable)

Yeah, but think about it. Whoever got assigned to that job is probably the lowest of the lowest rung on the ladder. He sits all day reading us flirt, set up dates, and whatever else. I mean, we could be his very own soap opera, but one he could very likely get tired of very quickly.
glowsferatu: wait (Wow What)

[personal profile] glowsferatu 2015-01-18 11:44 am (UTC)(link)
[ she's about to argue how little sympathy she has for someone paid to spy on them, i mean, they are being paid to do it, but then she sees what's going on here. it started as soon as kanaya drew attention to the likelihood that they'll be reading this, too.

not that deflecting like this will necessarily throw them off, they may just start reading more closely for it.
]

or she
but i suppose you are right
we are a tediously dull group on the whole arent we
even our dramatics generally fit predictable patterns
at least a soap opera is only an hours watching per day
how much time must one have to spend to get through all of the activity one the network in any day
with the patience necessary for it i have no doubt in my mind they must be the true heroes
it is only to keep us safe after all right

[ so maybe she's laying it on a little thick. ]
selfequipped: (yeah I'm gonna do it)

[personal profile] selfequipped 2015-01-19 06:21 am (UTC)(link)
It's too bad that he or she can't communicate with us. Imagine all the things they could help us with.

[personal profile] glowsferatu 2015-01-21 06:56 am (UTC)(link)
[ oh, is that how she's playing it. ]

with the right motivation of course
im sure that sort of help could get one a very handsome reward from the parties who would benefit from it
selfequipped: (kate bishop stands proudly.)

[personal profile] selfequipped 2015-01-21 11:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Exactly! I mean, as long as it's all on the up and up, of course.

we certainly wouldnt want to risk theyre employment with the sharing of any sensitive information

Such unfortunate fates for us all.

But we definitely want them to maintain their job. We're just those spunky imPorts, after all.

no trouble here
we just want everything to be nice and friendly
certainly nothings friendlier than a little bonus income
