It could be consciousness transferral as well—Quisma using Holiday's body, while Holiday is...somewhere else. I've got experience with both of those. I don't know how it works here, but I can answer questions if you want.

Could you elaborate on that theory? I only heard a bit about Quisma the moment I landed here, but I was too new in here by then to pay attention.

What makes you think he could have been possessed? Wouldn't his husband have noticed if he were that different?

I'm still getting used to all the information that's been more accessible here but- do we know anything really about Quisma? Is there any more information about him out there? I know there was something about his ghost a while ago, at one of the swear ins?

this is obviously dated rather than a new occurrence
holidays been a smoker from the moment i first met him
but did no one think to mention that this sort of thing actually happened once before
that might have helped with some of the paranoia thats been going about

My above-mentioned statement isn't as non sequitur as it might seem. I got a memory off a reporter-turned-Hornet in October who was in a room with Salvatore Quisma, a much younger Holiday, and a number of imPorts. Quisma was smoking one cigarette after another. Combine that with the clues here, and a lot stands out.

Quisma was alive on video in 2007. He was dead on official record in 2004. Ananke had no explanation for how he could be in the 2007 video while listed as dead in 2004.

Not that it discounts people entering other people's minds, establishing connections, faking deaths, or assuming disguises as familiar faces. Old imPort files were purged out of easier access, most impartial discussions of imPort and hero activity have gone missing in the archives,

He went into his coma at 32, is that what it's saying? "... coma that medical professionals did not..." and so on. Came out at 46. Was 28 back in the 1980's.

If he missed that much time, it could account for any ... personality changes.

Do we know when Holiday got married to Dr. Holt?

Was Quisma known to have any sort of abilities that could allow this?
Faking your death doesn't seem far from the possible.
Be my guess anyway.
Either way,
being in a coma is enough to change a lot of people.
I wouldn't question it if that changed Holiday alone.
Though there's something to be said about Quisma's part in this.
If there is one.
Especially if he was some sort of ghost a while back.
Or so I've heard.

The creation of a false corpse nearly identical to the original and transferral of one's consciousness to another body are both things that have been accomplished in my own world.

If Holiday was not expected to awaken, then the latter seems more plausible.

at this point those purged files are becoming far too great a liability
it would be ridiculous for them to have destroyed them so i certainly doubt that
but if theyve been sealed beyond the eyes of anyone who might have any use for them
it would have been by someone no wiser than to shoot their own foot

Dr Holt did mention a crisis... he never hinted that he had been talking about a coma. But it does seem like it says that on the crossed out part, doesn't it? He did mention he'd taken out smoking like a chimney but I never gave it much importance. Many people take up smoking after a stressful event, after all.

That's Narga's organization, all right. He might have commented on it because of Quisma's death. If he's worried about imPorts, and Quisma was an import ... [She trails off.]
