[Two weeks. Two weeks she's been here, every day more stressful than the last. Natalie depends on logic, it's her only anchor in a twisted-up, confusing world - but there's not enough of it here. Powers that shouldn't exist, technology that shouldn't exist, machines that the government put inside her. A job that's loud and chaotic, where she's sent arbitrarily from one random item to the next, fast, fast, fast, never letting her stop, and the machine blares angrily at her if she's even two seconds late. She can't stand it, but she's terrified of what might happen if she tries to quit.

And that's not even to mention the bizarre images and voices vibrating in her head - (that last one's the network, of course, but it's hard to tell how much of it is real, if any, and it deeply unsettles her). She's been trying to ignore it, but it's easy to activate, and there's no end to it.

Mika....Bring him back, you damned Porter! Or take me home to him!

[Yup. Someone is decidedly unhappy about the Porter returning his best friend. And isn't exactly in the most logical state to acknowledge right now that it isn't under anyone's control and he can't just make such demands, such appeals to the entity inside the thing.]

I don't care how guarded it is. I want to go. If I can take vampires, I'll figure these guys easily enough. If there's a way to bring us here and take us back, there's got to be some way to figure doing this on purpose. And I want to find out.

[By being the reckless idiot he is. It's a shounen requirement, okay? But also. Well. Yuu has never taken loss or potential loss of his family well. So his reaction to Mikaela being Ported back home is probably not much of a surprise.]

[ Consider him curious. Maybe he shouldn't be and maybe he shouldn't even bother. But, sometimes at night—and after a martini or several, shh—certain questions and thoughts rise to the forefront of his mind no matter how much he may wish for them not to.

There's always quite a lot of discussion over what to do with time. Complaints about wishing to have more or wishing it would pass faster. So, I'm curious. What would you do if you had an infinite amount of time?
