[Yup. Someone is decidedly unhappy about the Porter returning his best friend. And isn't exactly in the most logical state to acknowledge right now that it isn't under anyone's control and he can't just make such demands, such appeals to the entity inside the thing.]

I don't care how guarded it is. I want to go. If I can take vampires, I'll figure these guys easily enough. If there's a way to bring us here and take us back, there's got to be some way to figure doing this on purpose. And I want to find out.

[By being the reckless idiot he is. It's a shounen requirement, okay? But also. Well. Yuu has never taken loss or potential loss of his family well. So his reaction to Mikaela being Ported back home is probably not much of a surprise.]

[Yuu may not be the best with technology, but if he could get access somehow, maybe he could figure it. Of course he isn't sure who Callaghan is. That reputation and tech genius, if he couldn't figure it. Yuu probably doesn't have much chance. But it still provides something of a window, at least, of a slim chance.

[ She might have been more sympathetic if his tone were different, but jumping straight to angry shouting and threats demands a firm hand. If he thinks he can take whichever vampires, she'd readily accept the challenge. ]

Do yourself a favor and sit down before you do something stupid. Killing or otherwise hurting a troop of innocent guards isn't going to achieve anything, and it certainly won't convince the Porter to do anything.

She doesn't negotiate, she doesn't take to yelling any more than she does pleading. You can't intimidate that which is stronger than you are, and she's stronger than all of us, collectively.

[He'll calm down eventually. It's just the initial freak out when he's been unable to find Mika and has finally come to the conclusion that the Porter probably sent his best friend back.]

[Answers that, were he not such a reckless hothead, he'd have obviously figured would come easier if he were calmer about the situation. Maybe.]

I just want him back. [Or to get back himself. Either one. Strength, that's always irked Yuu, given the automatic imbalance of it between vampires and humans. Being told strength wasn't enough numerous times wasn't enough to quiet his taunts and promise that he would one day kill all of the bloodsuckers. Saying so right in front of said vampires, even if they just laughed at him for it and dismissed such foolish nonsense.

Answers they can't give you. They're only guards. They've never been through the Porter, they probably know less about it than you do. [ Okay, on second thought... ] Well, less than I do.

Damn thing can't even make up it's mind if it wants us here or not. [He scoffs, before there's a sigh as he purses his lips.]

About a day or so? At least, since I've noticed. I was initially trying to message him and went looking, but....

[Mika wouldn't ignore him. Would never not respond, even if sometimes it might take a bit, until he might have a break at work or whatever.]

[Doc quickly reads between the lines. He doesn't immediately protest this plan, but he does worry, and that's obvious on his face.]

[And this is decidedly not okay and not acceptable for the Porter to jerk him around like this. He'd been managing before Mika showed up just fine. To bring his best friend here only to send him back, it just hurts all the more. Being separated yet again due to events out of their control.]

And I can hear from your voice that he meant a lot to you. I'm sorry---I've been reunited with and separated from someone dear to me too. It's difficult, not knowing when and where you'll meet again.

You too, huh? The hell, this damned Porter jerking everyone around.

[Yeah, this place is better, in comparison to home. No virus, no vampires and military after him. But that is just why Yuu preferred to have Mika with him. Would prefer to have all of his family with him if possible.]

Is he dead back home?

[ Not that he can't empathize, but the fact he can is entirely tempered by being irritated hearing this on the not-phone they all communicate over. YEAH LOSS SUCKS AND THEY ALL WANT TO GO HOME or screw everyone else, Shino knows he wants to go home. This world is a shitty adventure without his two best friends being here, and throwing hissy fits hasn't helped.

[A vampire. So the question of whether Mika is technically 'alive' is. Possibly debatable. But still. Yuu pauses, running a hand through his mop of hair.]

How technically 'dead' are we talking? He still talks and walks and all. That's alive enough for me. I just...we were separated for years back home. And this place is better than what he's going back to.

[Upon hearing Yuu's angry message over the network and his plans to break into the Porter will leave Nike silent, at first, as she mulls the information over for a bit along with other thoughts crossing her head.]

[He may have just came back for a drink or something, but the longer without him finding the blonde vampire, the longer he has to reluctantly accept the other might be gone back home.]

One does not simply walk into Cape Canaveral. Its gates are guarded by more than just soldiers. There is surveillance there that does not sleep, and the government is ever-watchful for those who might challenge its authority. You would have to defeat power nullifiers, and the nanites in your own body, and the unknown abilities of the Porter itself.

An army of imPorts would be needed to even have a hope of confronting the Porter. But to go alone? It is folly.

The nanites? That's...how we get our powers, right? How they bring us back? But if there's a group of us, it'd be easier, wouldn't it?

[He's reckless as heck, particularly where his family is concerned, but Yuu has been told off against running off there alone at least.]
