At what point have you acquired too many "anniversaries"? When does applying significance to days become excessive? Or can you, through the course of years spent with someone, end up with 365 days of milestones--and that's okay?

Because 365 days of anniversaries kind of sounds like a life-goal, if you're asking me.
(Excuse me, 366...because leap year)

Like, there's absolutely nothing stopping me from deciding that the first day they let me borrow their pen is not somewhat important. I mean, there's a "Put a Pillow on Your Fridge Day" somewhere, so. Everyone's got one, right? At least one? A day that is significant for a relatively ridiculous sounding reason, but it's not ridiculous because it means something?

Back me up here, guys.

Anyway.

I'm not getting sentimental. I'm not. I'm really not.

[While Hans certainly hasn't been a stranger to the network, this marks the first time he's addressed it as a whole on camera, rather than text. For those who haven't previously heard him speak, his accent is German, his English precise, his manner fairly personable—which is not unusual (when he's not at work anyway), especially when he's looking for information.]

We were all given the spiel when we arrived regarding the Porter's radiation, Superpowers and You. Cause and effect, basically. Has any effort ever gone into determining why those effects can differ so vastly from person to person? One would imagine physiology to be a simple explanation, if it weren't for the fact that there are people of different species here with very comparable powers, while with two humans of a similar origin, age and gender for example, one might be given an ability that has incredible scope as far as actual power goes, while the other one gets something that can only be described as ludicrous.

Opinions, theories? Are you happy with your powers or pissed off? Why do some get shafted in that respect while others reap the benefits?

On a related note, occasionally there are instances of people suddenly finding their powers altered. What is the cause? Simply a random Porter glitch, something more specific, or [a slight smile] wishful thinking, perhaps?

[Did this happen to him? If so, he's taking it rather calmly, considering the accidental explosions—which thankfully, have been somewhat minor (so far). He's not telling, however... at least not publicly.]

It would appear I have a new ability which may be of interest to you and your associates.

[ Aurican doesn't seem all that happy. He knows deep down it's about the revelation that Kang made to Aurican about Kang's kind, but Aurican isn't interested in talking about that. He can tell no one is interested in the dramas of their homeworld.

Even if he does want to talk to people about it other than Kang. ]

For a long time - since last year - I taken the job as spokesman for Aurican Apparels. I enjoyed the job, as it taught me a lot.

[ Mostly on how vain humans can be. Again, Aurican is too polite to voice such opinions. ]

But I am planning on stepping down. I want to explore other options other than fashion. Magic, mostly. Are there any jobs that specialize in magic?
