Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth speaking.

[The young man’s voice is clear, but stiff, with a harsh edge to it that hints at the anger bubbling underneath his skin. He represses this rage, attempting to remain composed and professional]

Earlier I received a tip from a confidential source- [Sorry Kay, he's not going to drag you out in the open, it’s too risky] - regarding a potential lead in the Lunatic case.

[A deep breath as he steels himself. This is a damning accusation to make and he knows it, and there’s no going back if he’s wrong]

Yuri Petrov, imPort advertising manager, has two files, with two different sets of abilities… and two different aliases. According to one, he’s been graced with an immunity to alcohol, but according to other? Pyrokinesis, with the ability to control and manipulate blue-green flames, specifically. Sound familiar? [A note of bitterness seeps into his tone, but he moves on quickly] And, if that’s not enough to convince you, there’s his alias, printed right on the file. Lunatic.

[A short pause follows, just enough to let the information sink in for any potential listeners.]

Unfortunately, my source only caught a mere glimpse of the files, but when I tried to confirm the discrepancy with Petrov, he was nowhere to be found. And, as much as I wish we had time to gather more information, we cannot afford to wait any longer for a response! If anyone listening has further information regarding Petrov, Lunatic, or their current whereabouts, I implore you to share anything and everything you know. With Lunatic on the move, it could mean the difference between life... and death.

[With that, he ends his little speech, and waits for a response from his fellow imPorts]

[ She does read Wild Tiger as just that, largely because it's a truly applicable name for him to use. No alarms go off, odd as it is. ]

[Once he sees her lie detection for himself. It's not that he disbelieves, just...it's Yuri. Kotetsu's always felt the need to look out for him ever since the man arrived, and accusing him of something like this isn't something he can do lightly.]

Could we do, like, a true/false sorta thing? Like I can say a whole buncha stuff, and then you can say if I'm lying or not? Hang on, I'll switch to text first--

[Don't get too impressed yet; it's not that he's switching because the idea of "tells" in his speech has occurred to him, or that he thinks he's a bad liar, but what he wants to show her is in text. Thus, he wants to make sure she can detect lies in that medium, in particular.]

so i finally got in touch with yuri a little earlier, and he had a pretty believable excuse for the file, but some of it was still kinda weird and then he just suddenly stopped replying

[He...actually has to google how to screenshot, but iphone screenies are actually idiot-proof enough for even Kotetsu's technology fail, so he manages without much difficulty. Now where's the upload picture button....it takes him another couple minutes but he finds it eventually, and Verity gets sent a cap of the conversation.]

both the files are his. he's lying to you when he says one was sent to him anonymously.

i'm sorry, he's obviously been someone you considered as a close friend.

[He really, really wanted to believe it all. Part of Kotetsu almost regrets finding out, making sure...but then again, he had to. Lunatic would've just kept on hurting people if he'd let things lie because he didn't want them to be true.]
