Case File 001; Audio
[Clears his throat. This is going to be a difficult post to make]
Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth speaking.
[The young man’s voice is clear, but stiff, with a harsh edge to it that hints at the anger bubbling underneath his skin. He represses this rage, attempting to remain composed and professional]
Earlier I received a tip from a confidential source- [Sorry Kay, he's not going to drag you out in the open, it’s too risky] - regarding a potential lead in the Lunatic case.
[A deep breath as he steels himself. This is a damning accusation to make and he knows it, and there’s no going back if he’s wrong]
Yuri Petrov, imPort advertising manager, has two files, with two different sets of abilities… and two different aliases. According to one, he’s been graced with an immunity to alcohol, but according to other? Pyrokinesis, with the ability to control and manipulate blue-green flames, specifically. Sound familiar? [A note of bitterness seeps into his tone, but he moves on quickly] And, if that’s not enough to convince you, there’s his alias, printed right on the file. Lunatic.
[A short pause follows, just enough to let the information sink in for any potential listeners.]
Unfortunately, my source only caught a mere glimpse of the files, but when I tried to confirm the discrepancy with Petrov, he was nowhere to be found. And, as much as I wish we had time to gather more information, we cannot afford to wait any longer for a response! If anyone listening has further information regarding Petrov, Lunatic, or their current whereabouts, I implore you to share anything and everything you know. With Lunatic on the move, it could mean the difference between life... and death.
[With that, he ends his little speech, and waits for a response from his fellow imPorts]
[OOC: And here’s the grand IC reveal! This post isn't strictly for conversations with Edgeworth. Feel free to talk to other characters, threadjack, and make IC plans here. Edit: And to clarify, this post takes place in the evening!]

video
He goes primarily after sinners - that's what he calls criminals who've committed unforgivable acts against their fellow man. However!
[His stoic demeanor vanishes, and he fixes the camera with a stern glare]
That doesn't make you - or anyone else, for that matter - safe! He's just as ruthless to those who stand in his way as he is to his quarry. Anyone who attempts to bring him to justice risks becoming another victim to his flames, criminal or not. Do you understand?
video
[Conan makes sure to keep his expression open and curious.]
I understand! He sounds like a really mean person.
video
Killing another human being. Murder, homicide, accidents... it doesn't matter what the circumstances are, if someone's taken another person's life, then they're now a sinner in Lunatic's eyes. And... well, while mean isn't the exact word I'd use, I suppose that's accurate.
Re: video
Is there any kind of police force here trying to stop him?
video
Local police have been looking into him, but they've been limited, for obvious reasons. However, it's my hope that imPort involvement will give them the upper hand. Either way, it's nothing for you to worry about - so long as you stay out of his way.
video
Do the local police accept involvement from us, then?
[He found that a little strange. Ah, but that was probably too advanced a question for a kid. It was tough to remember to act like a child when there were topics that he was interested in.]
And I will! Don't worry. Someone like that probably won't care much about a kid anyway.
Re: video
[Not as young as Conan, mind, but Edgeworth thinks that a little exaggeration is warranted here. The boy's obviously bright (brighter than he's letting on), but the thing about gifted children is that, all too often, they overestimate just how gifted they really are. The last thing he wants on his conscience is the knowledge that some boy died because he thought a clever mind was enough to survive a murderer.]
Re: video
[Geez, this guy was repeating himself a lot. Conan had already promised. What else did he want?
...Not that Conan had any intention of keeping that promise. It wasn't like he was new to dealing with dangerous criminals.]
