[The video opens to Minato in his room, a sedate, barely furnished place without an ounce of personality to it. His expression isn't too dissimilar.]

Hi. To anyone who hasn't met me, I'm Minato. I managed to save up enough to buy a violin, and I wanted to ask if anyone would like to play with me, or just listen.

[At this point he briefly holds up his violin as if to demonstrate.] I've only been playing for about a year, so I'm not great, but I don't mind learning.

And if there's anyone new who'd like someone to show them around... Let me know.

Nice to meet you. What kind of music do you like?

It's nice to meet you too.

Oh, almost anything! Um, I'm used to reels and jigs, I guess, from when I used to go to barn dances. But I used to listen to all kinds of music on the radio when I was working.

Yes, I had to pick an instrument, and violin is classic, isn't it? I've enjoyed it, though.

Ah, I don't know a lot about instruments, but violins definitely are, I think!

I only know how to play the recorder, because that's what we use in music class...

Hello! Elize would like someone to show her around actually! [ She'd mostly stuck around Maurtia Falls and went to the swear-ins, but never got a good tour of most places. ] And... we'd like to listen to your music sometime.

[Minato waves one sedate hand hello at the introduction.] It's nice to meet you... and Teepo. I haven't seen a talking doll before.

I mostly know places in De Chima and Heropa, but with the Porter, that's not too big a deal wherever you live. I'd be happy to show you-- and of course I like to play.

You mean like they have in coffee shops? [That's what happens there, right.] That would be cool. If there's a certain type of music you like to dance to, let me know, and I'll learn something.

Ehhh, a violin? I bet that'll sound nice. [with a little laugh in his voice:] I've got no skill or ear for music, but I think I'll like it just fine. Play, if you like!

Hmm, it's true that you don't have to be skilled to enjoy the feeling behind it. I just listened for a long time.

Here, I'll play the piece I learned for school. [Since he's practiced that one a thousand times, as you do for mandatory recitals.

Minato has to stand up and push back his chair before settling the violin on his shoulder, warming up briefly with a few scales, and slides smoothly into Bach's cello suite no. 1 prelude for violin. For all that his expression remains as stoic forever, the way he coaxes out the notes fluidly belies his investment in music.]

It was probably inevitable that I'd play something after listening to so much music all the time, [he says a touch wryly.]

I recorded something in this conversation, but I wouldn't mind playing in person either. It's soothing.

[Minato is much more forthright with Annie than with anyone else who's asked, since she'd been there with him.]

Like I'd rather forget it happened. Like I'm never putting down my Evoker again... I hate how often they take away our powers. I've never been without my Persona before.

But I had a friend heal me so I guess I'm alright. Are you okay?

Why the violin?

Well, I had to pick something that would fit with the sound in my music club, and I didn't want a wind instrument.

You can play the violin, Arisato-senpai? That's amazing.

Ah, I learned for music club, so it's not that amazing. I'm sure you have a talent like that, Ryuugazaki-kun.

[Look, you've graduated to -kun since you used -senpai.]

I'm making it happen. you can't stop me.

Rather late in your life to start a musical career, isn't it? I thought that was something you had to start young to be any good.
