[The video clicks on revealing a teen sitting confidently facing the camera. He's dressed casually, nothing too impressive, but respectable enough for his age. He clears his throat, his voice smooth as he speaks.]

The name's Hattori, and I'm yer new inner-city detective.

[Holds up his shiny badge so everyone can see it, his hand covering part of his title:

Pet Detective

Pulls the badge away, grinning broadly.]

I'm located in residence #004. If ye've got a case, I'm yer man, so give me a call. Don't matter what time o'day or where yer at.

[ooc: While he's specifically directing Maurtia Falls, it's an open comm to all cities. Yes, he is deliberately hiding the 'pet' portion of his job. It's okay, he can totally solve murders too. It's perfectly legal! ...ahem.]

On th' bright side this means they prolly won't mind me gettin' my hands on cases so long as I don't stumble across anythin' serious.

I can be careful! [But will he? That's the problem. Stopping to think wasn't his strong suit if someone was in trouble.]

The mention of his dad has KID pausing for a split second, the sudden longing to see his own dad again strong and painful before pushes it back down and into the trunk he stores it. Poker Face, KID, now is not the time to be dreaming too.]

It's th' job they assigned me, but I was a detective long before I ever got imported. Clearly they know intelligence when they see it. [He will never admit as long as he can get away with it that he's technically only licensed to find lost pets. Not that he can't do that with great skill, but it's so much more interesting to find criminals.

Well, technically it's only part time. I'm still registered in school. ...I should prolly go to that at some point...

[leaning partway out of the frame, hesitating:] Auh, well... [he glances somewhere off-screen before settling back in with a shrug.] I'm working for the Nonah rail lines right now...and I guess, when you consider it, makes sense, since my ID from home has railways right on it.

[he is willing to concede this but he's not going to look happy about it. it is not the same. still, he pushes a crooked smile on his face:] I don't know how the decisions for that kind of stuff is made, but I guess if they find an easy connection, they'll make it right away.
