[ The man sounds cheerful, energetic, and mildly perplexed. ] Some help would be appreciated--nothing major, I'm just trying to find a condiment. I've been to multiple stores in Maurtia Falls and asked the employees, but I cannot find any garum. This is unacceptable, because humanish food tastes strange enough as it is. I know there's some out there, somewhere--there has to be! It's the one thing humans and goblins could always agree on: rotting fish tastes amazing.

I really don't know where else to ask. You're from all sorts of places, I'm sure someone can help me out here. In case the problem is just that I'm using the wrong name for it: what I'm talking about is fermented fish juice.

If you cannot find any it is possible you could find someone here who could produce it for you. As you said we are from all sorts of places, surely someone would know the process.

Any ideas for what would be a worthwhile offer? The price for garum varies a lot back home, depending on quality... I could offer lessons in Cedrickian Unarmed I guess, but it'd be pretty useless without a lot more maneuverability than the typical human has, and a lot of the other "imPorts" I've seen around look pretty human.

Nice to meet someone like you! [ ...wait. Shit, he hopes that didn't come out sounding too much like flirting, that's not the most highly recommended activity with female goblins and Samara's blue at least, so... Damnit, mouth. He's going to have to be a bit more careful about his phrasing. ]

How difficult is it to make? That would most likely influence how much someone would charge. I assume Cedrickian Unarmed is a combat style. If that is the case you might be able to modify it to teach humans.

I don't know. Someone else recommended I ask this "net" thing, which might help me figure that out.

Hmm. I'm not sure about modifying the style, I don't know exactly how... I'd have to put a lot of thought into that one. Maybe it's possible. Hm. [ He sounds contemplative.

Then he laughs a little, awkwardly. ] Er. You remind me a bit of my people, back home, is all. It's been a while since that's happened.

You could do that. It might provide you with some answers, though I am not certain how many if it is something no longer made frequently.

How much work you wish to put into it is something you will have to decide based upon how much you want your item. [ She actually looks mildly excited by that. ]

Do I? I must admit it is refreshing to hear that. It is the first time any have said anything like that to me. Most are surprised by my appearance.

That's a point. It doesn't sound very hard to do though, so might as well try it.

[ Thoughtful tone: ] It's not so much the work, as I'm not certain what modifications would be helpful. I'd have to experiment a bit, find some volunteers to help me figure out what a normal human body can and can't do. It... Hm. This could be interesting. [ He's starting to consider pursuing this even if he manages to get the garum (or an acceptable substitute) some other way. ]

Heh. Yeah, same happens to my people if we leave our usual haunts.

Fortunately where I am from most are used to interacting with aliens of some kind. The only stares I am used to receiving come from who I am, not what I am.

[ Avinin hardly minds! Goblins are amazing, and it's so, so sad they are apparently rare or nonexistent in other worlds. ] Taller than most humans, blue skin, black hair... I believe I've been described as having a "spidery" build? Sharp teeth, claws, long nose, um... I'm not the best at descriptions, I'm finding, my apologies. Yellow eyes. I can normally see in the dark, you know. Human eyes don't even function properly in low light conditions, it's ridiculous!

[ He audibly perks up. ] Oh? Are you someone important back home? From position or deeds?

It sounds like quite a change from the appearance of a typical human. [ She will feel terribly for him once she sees that he's lost that form. ] Humans do have a rather simple makeup. [ The tone she uses is fond, she likes humans! For the most part at least. They are a very interesting species, but they are rather simple in build. Much more so than most other species. ]

Both. I am a Justicar. [ Or she was. Does it really even count here anymore? Lately she wonders. ] Justicars are a small order of Asari who have sworn our lives a strict Code that works to protect the innocent and punish the guilty. Our work is extrajudicial and without question in Asari space.
