[video] 16/4 - Ghost Sightings

[When the feed comes on in the afternoon, it shows Violet glaring at her camera phone. The past few days have been nothing short of irritating. Her stance on ghosts has been to ignore them but with the number of murdered growing, it's been getting harder and harder to. (That and they seem to have discovered she can see them)]

All right, asshole! I don't care what kind of underworld angel you are. Just quit killing people! I'm sick of seeing dead ghosts wandering around with blood on their faces and their guts hanging out.

[She brushes her hair from her face in agitation]

If you've somehow been living under a rock, Lucifer's been going around killing people. Publicly. Google it. What I want to know is why he hasn't been caught yet.

Well. That's-- good.

[He says it sort of hesitantly, wary of sounding like an Approving Adult Figure. It doesn't work so well, it still sounds idiotic, and he winces at himself.]

You know what I mean. Does he, uh. Know? About you bein' a ghost, I mean.
humanistic: (listen - nooot what your sister thinks)

[That's not exactly surprising. His mouth twists a little, wryly, but he doesn't make half the snarky comments that he wants to make. She's got to live with him, right? For better or for worse.]

He's an idiot.

[It's more dismissive than insulting.]

But good for you for trying t' tell him.
humanistic: (stand - you never want to have no chicks)

[Yeah, he picks up on that pretty easily, with an inward wince. Great job, Mitchell.]

Yeah, well, you aren't crazy. If he didn't have his head up his arse, he'd realise that. And it's his loss anyways.

[But listening to mild verbal abuse of Edgeworth probably won't make her feel better, even if it helps Mitchell.]

He's probably just jealous 'cause he wouldn't get to join the supernatural superhero team.
humanistic: (smile - you picked a pretty prostitute!)

[He really shouldn't be so quick to get attached, and he really shouldn't drag Violet into the inevitable mess that is everything he ever touches--but Mitchell is very good at lying to himself, good enough that he thinks, well, it won't be that way this time. And it helps, too, that he's already pretty fond of her himself.

So, okay, he smiles at that response, studying her for a second like he's got to make sure that she's sincere in what she says.]

Is that right. [Even his tone is way too fond for that to sound at all sarcastic.] It just so happens that that's the way I'd like it, too. So since both members of the team are voting, I think that means we've got an exclusive club.

Congratulations.
humanistic: (uh huh - this is a t shirt shop)

[aw bless we'll try not to brutally murder anyone and mess up that line of thinking, Violet]

Yeah, as my first act, I'm definitely putting you in charge of the name. Unless you seriously put out freakazoids as a possibility, I'm automatically vetoing that one.
humanistic: (yeeeeah - i'm like a pretty deep dude)

Hey, I can't be too careful. I don't want to get stuck with something awful.

[But food, yeah--he flags down the waitress again, giving his menu another once-over.]

I'll have, uh, a cheeseburger. And coffee. And she'll have--
humanistic: (hm - what's in a real boob?)

[personal profile] humanistic 2014-05-21 09:45 pm (UTC)(link)
[He hands his menu off as well, but shoots Violet a little grin.]

Wish you would've said, I would've just gotten some crap pizza and made you watch movies all night. Ah, well, there's always another time.

[Not that he wants her kept away from escorting ghosts to the other side all the time. There's 'another time' for movie marathons.]
