He isn’t going to talk about what happened last month; it has been 3 weeks and a lot of people have mentioned it already. I know this will be a very strange question coming from someone like me. [ since he doesn’t eat human food ] But I would like to know what are your favorite dishes and food. What do you like the most that I can acquire or cook in this country?

It’s not for me, obviously, since it’ll only taste like rotten intestines to me, [ kaneki has a great and colorful vocabulary for human food, yeah ] but I would like to try cooking something.

I might need a taster... [ last time he cooked, he didn't need one, but- ]

I imagine that's not a very healthy thing, so I'd like to try cooking something else for them.

Hmmm. I'm a meat eater, so the only cooking you need t'do is in the spices.

But how would it taste like intestines? Why?

That's the hardest part for me. [ since he can't taste the spices and know if it worked. ] I can't just make up a new dish. [ he needs recipes to follow, basically ]

And I can't digest human food due to my biology.

Hm- because tasting it won't work, I have to do everything following the recipe so the less creative I must get, the better.

It's for someone else. His diet is fast-food based, and I sort of want to change that.

Oven dishes are convenient since you can do other things while your meal is cooking.

One of my favorite dishes is paella. It's super delicious, and it isn't too hard to make. Plus, it's a dish you can really experiment on!
