A few might recognize the face on the screen, or at the least, the almost-eastern-european-but-not-quite accent and rare foreign word. Kang is clearly annoyed, obvious in both his expression and tone of voice. Luckily, he has also been provided with one set of clothing that fits his 6'4" human body.]

To those I haven't met before, my name is Kang.

This makes twice I've been yanked from my world and tossed into a new one without being asked. I'm not sure what the hell happened while I was gone; I seem to have the same powers, but everything is different, including the overall attitude towards ImPorts - particularly towards non-humans like me. It doesn't make me feel much better about the situation, though.

[He mutters a curse, and his expression turns slightly hopeful.]

Is anyone else I know here? Or any others from Krynn?

Uh... Gil, he moved up here too.

I'm not sure who else you knew but some of them might still be around. There were so few of us still around when we ended up here.

Of course not! [Of course she has, did you even have to ask Kang?]

Anyway, I'm about at the 'porter, where are you staying?

[governorkang]

[Yeah, she's getting an amused look.]

Number 33. I probably don't have to tell you this, but bring beer.

[heartstings]

[She's been nicer, especially lately. And they spent nearly a month or more kind of avoiding each other.

She laughs.] I'll do you better than beer.

[governorkang]

You have no idea how glad I am that you're here.

[heartstings]

And you don't know how glad I am to have you back. Even if it's totes selfish I got my drinking buddy back.

Anyway, gotta hang up now so I can do the 'porter hop. See you soon.

[governorkang]

A little selfishness every now and then is alright. Don't take too long.

[heartstings]

[It's probably another thirty minutes before she shows up at his residence since she had to make a booze stop. But she's there, ringing the bell and waiting as opposed to just letting herself in like she normally could.

She hadn't bothered to mention it but she'd also brought along her little dragon friend to introduce him to Kang.]

[governorkang]

[It takes a few seconds for Kang to get the door, and when he sees Kenzi standing in front of him, he smiles widely, not noticing the little dragon at first.]

That was quicker than expected.

[heartstings]

[Kenzi smiles brightly and immediately goes in for a hug, forgetting all about the dragon curled around her shoulders. The dragon which protests to the sudden movement with a loud screech and drops to the ground with a hiss. The protesting from the dragon causes her to stop and look down at him.]

Oh, uh, right. Kang this is Sir Joffrey Mathew Lawrence Applegate the Third or Sir Apple for short.

[The little dragon huffs and starts to move past Kang and into the house without waiting for anyone else.] And he has the mentality of a cat.

[governorkang]

A dragon?

[He's never seen one so small before. He stares at it as it walks past him before turning his attention back to her.]

When did this happen?

[heartstings]

[She nods.]

It was a little while after you poofed. We got dragged into some fantasy world and when we came back he apparently followed me. I've had him ever since. He's usually pretty affectionate unless you upset him and then he just gets all pissy. [Luckily the little guy isn't all pissy enough to scratch up anything. Instead he's sniffing around the floor before fluttering up onto the back of the back of the couch to curl up.]

Anyway, I got booze but I can't stay too long. [She holds up the bag with the beer and bourbon in it.]

[governorkang]

'Poofed.' That's an interesting way of putting it.

[He smiles at the mention of bourbon and pulls her into a rare affectionate hug.]

You make this place bearable.

[heartstings]

It's a very technical term. [She nods sagely before she's pulled into the hug. She returns it with a soft laugh.]

It's been pretty shitty without you. Do you know how hard it is to find a good drinking buddy?

[governorkang]

You mean one that can tolerate you constantly injuring yourself?

[heartstings]

I do not constantly injure myself. In fact I've been injury free for quite some time now. [Her death not included in that.] It's everyone else that keeps getting hurt lately.

[governorkang]

Keep it that way. You being injury-free, that is. I have enough stress worrying over my children injuring themselves.

[heartstings]

[She wiggles away from him and heads to the couch, settling down and immediately pulling out the drinks and putting them on the table.]

Don't even talk to me about stress. S'all it's been lately. [She's been doing her best to keep it bottled up while around Gil but she knows she's going to explode soon.]

[governorkang]

Kenzi, are you alright?

[There's that feeling again, that something's wrong. He sits down next to her and grabs a beer, his smile fading into a serious look.]

[heartstings]

I'm fine. [She quickly guzzles down some beer.] It's just everyone else getting into shit.

[She doesn't want to talk about what went on back home, not yet. It was bad enough talking to Gil about it.]

[governorkang]

[He gives her a look, and sighs.]

You're not. But, I won't press you to talk if you're not ready yet.

What happened while I was gone? What is this place?

[heartstings]

[She side-eyes him and sighs.] Eventually.

[She takes another drink before sighing again.] I don't really know, to be honest. Suddenly the world started falling apart and then one of Lachesis' sisters ate everything. Lachesis managed to save us and sent us all here.

Apparently they had imPorts here before we arrived, which is why they have a 'porter, but it'd been a long time. And since we arrived others have started to as well.

[governorkang]

So two worlds with imPorts, with differing attitudes toward us. What happened to Vulcanus?

[It's been a long time for him, but he remembers that group, at least.]

[heartstings]

[She shrugs.]

Destroyed with the rest of the world? [Some company by the same name exists in this world but Kenzi isn't remembering that right now.]
