The kid looks quite a bit more peevish than the last time he took to a video addressing the network as a whole. And now seems to be taking to long sleeve shirts.]

So, quick riddle.

For those of you are familiar with the stories of Lachesis in this world, if she's not in the Porter, got any guesses as to who is?

What was supposed to happen exactly?

I wanted to confirm it was her. If it wasn't, well, that's enough. I'd be happy to stay here and keep out of things. If it was... What else do you ask a Fate? I wanted to know what her plan was.

Everything that would have happened after that would have depended on what she wanted. But, that didn't happen. I've got nothing more than another puzzle piece.

She's never been willing to divulge what she wanted with any of us besides wanting us to be heroes.

When I first arrived in the City I couldn't get anywhere close to the Porter.

Walking up to her at first. Couldn't get close to her even with superspeed. She kept teleporting me halfway around the world.

[ It was a fruitless endeavor in the end. ]

She hasn't spoken to any of us since before we ended up here.

[ A measured pause. ]

I was, yes. You must have heard it was Atropos's doing.

Yeah.

[He hesitates. He's had guesses, but up to this point, that's all they've been. Guesses.]

Do you know why she cut that world?

Not a clue. She talked about a "rebirth", but none of it made any sense to me.

She also talked in haiku and poetry's not my forte.

Ugh... [The sound is genuine by the long-suffering look the kid gives the camera.] I thought that was limited to Apollo.

Just as enigmatic as her sister.

I don't know what became of Atropos after we left that world.

Nor Clotho by what I've heard. But what you're saying doesn't sound like retaliation or revenge...

[He glances aside to something off screen, then back.]

I'm not sure what instigated it. We never heard of Atropos after that and I'm assuming she was reborn somewhere, somehow if that's what she meant by her "rebirth".

[ She's a little surprised to hear that at first and is quick to shake her head. ]

It's... okay. [ Well, not entirely, but what's done is done. It isn't the first time she's lost a world. ] I wish we could have done something, but if there is anything I've learned about gods it's that fighting them is not easy.

And yeah... almost impossible.

[ A pause before she recites Atropos's words: ]

And then Lachesis saved you.

Guess she needed her heroes still.

An all-powerful being? Why do they need tools?

Because there's more than one all-powerful being. If they started fighting directly, or plotting against each other, or do their usual drama the world would be in a constant state of war.

So they get "heroes."

And these heroes aren't always aware who's pulling their strings, huh?

Most of the time, it's through the dictates of the Fates.

So, nope. [And why he just did something THAT stupid.]

Though sometimes you can guess. They're not all that creative.

... probably best not to anger them too much, then. Fought a god once before and wasn't all that fun.
