[There might be a snap and fizz from your iphone before anything, which might make it seem like the damn thing just broke on you out of no where. Feel free to check it and curse while you look it over but as you do an audio post from the network opens up. Another fizz, static, some crackles of energy and then just some good, ol' fashioned white noise before there's a voice. Still static laced at first.]

Ah, and I didn't think this thing was too hard to use... new powers- is this what they meant, damnit- I feel like I just- oh...

[He- realizes it's on, dang. It shifts over to video but the image of the grey haired boy looks- rough. Like it's a botched transmission, or kind of out of range. His brows pinch, the red of his vest is the easiest to make out.]

Hey- Akihiko Sanada here. I'm a new imPort, and yeah I got the idea of what's going on here, and from talking enough with those in charge I also got the idea that we're stuck. Fine. But- ah... [An anxious sigh. God he feels- dumb here. Come on, man, get to the point of the post.]

What the hell is with these communicators? Is it just me? My whole body- it- it was like static now- it's all dark.

I don't know, I felt this- fuzz all around me, like static. And now it's dark, but I seem to be able to access the network information fine still.

I just- I feel really good. Are these things supposed to shock you like this?

Did you happen to get powers that have to do with electricity—or lightning?

I wasn't sure if it was how these tattoos register to the network or something, but if that's the case- yeah. Electricity. Though I didn't expect it to be anything like this.

[And it-- takes him a couple minutes to think of how to respond. He could curse at him, ask needling concern questions over what Akihiko was talking about, surprise at the other man's arrival--

But none of that would really help with the whole 'hey sup i'm not dead' thing.

Finally Shinjiro just-- flips on the video. His mouth opens, but there's a brief hesitancy before he's able to get any words out- and even then, it's just:]

[Whoa okay, despite everything going black and well- everything, that voice. He just automatically responded to it before...Is- it can't be-]

I don't think I'm in need of hospital assistance. I think- it has something to do with these new powers? How do they give these to us anyway?

I couldn't speak to any technical errors you may be encountering. Not expertly, at least. All of the difficulties I've encountered have been a result of user error.

But you're the new one, hmm? I only cleaned out the room the other day, but it should be ready for you.

[ At first, she does think something's wrong with her communicator -- she doesn't get to it until after she's off work -- but once she sees the post and skims over the replies, she gets a better idea of what's happening. And hey, new roommate. ]

Do you know if your powers limited to what you're touching? Maybe wearing rubber gloves would help. [ But do these things even work with rubber gloves, is the question. ]

Otherwise, maybe you just need to practice getting them under control.
