[The feed is pretty simple, just Cu sitting at a table mulling over what appears to be an array of blades. From large decorative bowie knives and daggers, to what appears to be a long bladed spear tip that he's currently examing in his hands. By the frown and clipped tone it might be easy to discern that he's running a bit hot under the collar.]

Ok, a potentially dumb question followed by one that may only seem foolish if I've overestimated you guys:

First - Is throwing a spear considered Archery as far as the letter of the law?

I ask because as far as I can tell, Pennsylvanian law is saying only Archery hunting is currently allowed. What a pain. What's the point in limiting what kind of weapons hunters use? If I'm going to eat what's left, why sould it matter to anyone else what condition the meat's in after the kill? Tch, another unreasonable law of this era if you ask me.

[He sighs, tossing the spear head up twirling in the air with a flick of his wrist and leans back as it lands --sticking into the wood with a satisfying THOP!]

It's not that I mind using a bow, I could probably do just fine. It just isn't my speciality. Which brings me to my second question:

Anyone out there confident in their weapon crafting skills? Crafting bows, Fletching arrows, or otherwise? If I wanted to get something high quality, like better than the soul-less, mass produced stuff you find in stores now adays. I'm willing to pay whatever you need to make it happen.

OH I guess PS, if anyone wants to go hunting, despite the restrictions, speak up. I wouldn't mind the company. I could even be bothered to teach you a thing or two if you were up to it.

It isn't to hard to believe a resourceful hunter as yourself couldn't make at least functioning weapons. What I'm mostly curious about is if there are any proported "Master" crafters out there. And what they're capable of.

[Cu gives a halfway shrug of his head to one side.]

I had just assumed you'd be going. People of this era don't find hunting much of a pastime so I didn't have any expectations of anyone else going.

See, this is what I'm talking about. Everyone's so accustomed to having their food delivered to them with a side of fries. But trust me, eating something you've caught with your own hands through hard work is much more satisfying.

There's quite a bit of legal hunting area in this state. I figured I'd just find the biggest patch of it and head straight into the heart of it.

I'm thinking sometime in the next few days, depending on if I get a response and how soon it might take someone to build me a bow worthy of a warrior's hands.

Dude I only turned into a pacifist when I became a werewolf. I was one hell of a scrappy kid! An' I was born an' raised in Texas, y'kinda have to be a hunter if you wanna make your dad not hate you. An' animals ain't exactly gonna get the rest of the world angry at me for killin' 'em.

[He looks proud of himself now though.] Crossbow, longbow, shotgun, rifle... anythin' that I can point an' shoot with an' I'm anythin' but a soft touch. But y'should know that already. [Because things that point and shoot were apparently his forte.]

I am confident in my fletching skills, sir, and I would go hunting with you depending on your choice of hunt. I do have a spare bow, should you need one.

They limit the types of weapons you're allowed to use based on whether or not the average hunter would be able to kill something humanely with it. So I'm going to guess that spears are not included, because most people would fuck that shit up incredibly.

Generally speaking though, if it's not mechanical you can probably get away with it as long as you don't get caught. I'd be more concerned about whether the state requires hunting licenses and what their seasons are.

Well I can honestly say I'm not your average hunter. If it's within my sight, I can put a spear through any target. That includes the vitals of a deer.

[Sure it's a boast, but one founded on experience.]

And trust me, I've been reviewing all the laws on the subject. It's what's getting on my nerves. So much song and dance now to just getting a bit of food.

I'll take you at your word. [Shaking his head.] But unless you can coax a deer into bed of it's free well, we're going to be relying on your self proclaimed lesser skillset.

According to the law, deer seems to be our only real choice. I think there's some small game in there too, but that doesn't interest me much.
