[Eric appears on the screen, seeming to be sitting in a dimly lit office, glasses on his face. He'd sat there all day really, at his job, doing pretty much nothing. It was laughable, that they'd put him in a position such as this- Eric was a man who liked to be busy, hell he practically needed to be busy.]

Hello fellow imPorts. My name is Dr. Eric Dufosset, as some of you may already know. It seems that there is no end to introductions in this place, with how people come and go seemingly endlessly. [He smiles, but it doesn't quite reach his eyes, he's just trying to be pleasant.]

I come to you all after another day wasted at my job. So I thought about maybe being a little more vocal about these things. My official title, as dictated to me by those who brought us here is Dream Interpretor. [There's movement to the side as he raises a cup of coffee and takes a sip, clearing his throat before talking again.] But here I am without dreams to interpret.

So, my fellows, would anyone care to tell me a dream? [There's a smile that basically admits he knows no-one will be interested.] Alternatively, there are many other things I can interpret if you'd like to visit my office. I have tarot cards, tea that can be brewed, palms to be read... Just give me something, please. I'm weary of the inertia.

[He just stares for a couple of seconds, blinking.]

Really, my dear, you had to go there?

Well someone had to! It was almost obligated, and I'd have been really falling down on the job if I hadn't made the attempt. Of course people who do actually fall down on the job really ought to look into that, not so much if it's just a simple trip but an actual falling down, could be symptomatic of an inner ear problem, or maybe it's just clumsiness, but you would frankly be amazed at how often people with legitimate issues are written off as clumsy when that's not the origin of the problem at all. So really, the people who aren't helping them are the ones falling down on the job, in a less literal and yet far more impactful way! Don't you think?

[Wow this girl can sure talk, its a damn good thing that there was a translator in place here or Eric would've had one hell of a time catching all of that.]

Um, well, yes... I suppose those us of in more active jobs could fall down quite often. It would be quite hard for me, though, considering I spend most of my life in an office chair, I'm more likely to fall down from standing up too quickly more than anything. [He blinks.] Maybe you should start a campaign for mandatory checks of inner ear problems?

Even if you have a job that requires a lot of sitting, you can still make it fun! Having fun in your work is very important, some say even more important than having work at all, but it's sometimes hard to enjoy the fun things if you haven't any work to support them. Money and all of that, you know. Still getting used to using paper money, the coins are all right but credits were certainly easier, but it's all been part of the adventure being here. The other problem with work and fun is that without any work, well, the fun parts might not seem as fun, since there's nothing to compare it to, so really having 100% fun is actually not that good for you, and did you know some offices let you sit on giant rubber balls instead of chairs? And people say my world is strange!

[He chuckles again, because of the fact that she had one hell of a way of speaking. He found himself missing some things and really missing some of the segues that lead from one sentence to the other.] Ah, so you're not from a place similar to this? I must admit, my own world isn't exactly dissimilar. Of course there are some glaring differences, flying cars, superheroes, things of that ilk. [And he's nodding.] Of cours,e without something relatively boring everything might seem like fun and as such boring... or at least the inertia of that amount of down time doesn't sound entirely appealing. [He blinks.] I don't think my office would be suited to giant rubber balls, unfortunately. I like to keep at least some sense of decorum.

It makes me happy to hear that people come from worlds that they like, you know. When I think about people who find their worlds so grim... it's upsetting! I wish I could do something to change it.

I happen to be a huge fan of my own world, of course... everything there is significantly more accommodating. [He chuckles even if its lacking in true humour. The lack of an SRM here did unnerve him greatly.]

Really? That's wonderful! Anything in particular you like about it, that you haven't got here?

[He sighs, thinking about exactly what he missed.] Laws, politics, my family. The way of life there is different, especially for people like me.

[ she laughs a little ]

It doesn't seem as though you'd lack for politics in this place, does it?

People like you?

Ah, of course, politics are everywhere. I suppose I meant rather particular politics and, well, policies that are in place at home. [A wry smile.] Of course, people like me. Supernaturals. More specifically, Witches.

It sounds like quite an intriguing situation! I'd enjoy hearing about it sometime.

Witches?

[ She repeats it curiously, though not disbelievingly. Being here has certainly opened her to previously impossible ideas. ]

Witches. [He just nods solemnly. Because hey, he let people take their own interpretation of whatever the hell a witch might be before going and trying to correct them.]

[ A thoughtful pause, followed by: ]

You're significantly less blue than the other witch boy who's here. Although if you'd rather be, I can help you with that.

Less blue? There's another witch? Is he particularly sad? [He's taking blue here as an emotional signal rather than a physical one.]

Oh no, nothing like that. He's quite dapper, in fact! But he's very blue, a lovely indigo shade, that's a really lovely word actually, indigo. It sounds so romantic, don't you think?

Oh, blue as in colouring. I thought you meant he was, well, depressed. [His face screws up a little at that though, it wouldn't be the first time he'd heard of someone with a penchant for cosmetic magic.]

If that's the first thing you're concerned about, I wonder what sort of doctor you are~

Unless a witch-doctor, because that would be quite funny!

[He chuckles.] Well I'll have you know I actually chose that moniker for myself, with the idea that I might be a superhero. However I'm actually a Psychiatrist.

Oh, we've got a few of those here! Some of them are very naughty, though.

Does that mean you have magic?

So I've heard. It was rather... disheartening knowing that the profession had come under discrimination thanks to one madman's machinations.

[He nods though, swiftly.] I do, yes. Its part of my being.

Oh, that's always the way of it, dear, in any world, it seems! One messy genessi makes things hard for me in my world, too.

That's wonderful! Some people change quite a lot when they get here, they've said. I think that'd be quite disconcerting, myself.

Genessi... I don't think I quite understand that word? [Which meant it was either a linguistic anomaly or one of those brilliant little multiverse problems.]

Adaptability is a necessary means to survival but I'm glad that in this instance I haven't needed to adapt to something as important to me as my identity.

A genessi is a DNA manipulator. Apparently it's something quite unique to where I'm from!

Oh, I completely understand, dear. I know very well how fundamental it is, to feel like one's self.
