[Eric appears on the screen, seeming to be sitting in a dimly lit office, glasses on his face. He'd sat there all day really, at his job, doing pretty much nothing. It was laughable, that they'd put him in a position such as this- Eric was a man who liked to be busy, hell he practically needed to be busy.]

Hello fellow imPorts. My name is Dr. Eric Dufosset, as some of you may already know. It seems that there is no end to introductions in this place, with how people come and go seemingly endlessly. [He smiles, but it doesn't quite reach his eyes, he's just trying to be pleasant.]

I come to you all after another day wasted at my job. So I thought about maybe being a little more vocal about these things. My official title, as dictated to me by those who brought us here is Dream Interpretor. [There's movement to the side as he raises a cup of coffee and takes a sip, clearing his throat before talking again.] But here I am without dreams to interpret.

So, my fellows, would anyone care to tell me a dream? [There's a smile that basically admits he knows no-one will be interested.] Alternatively, there are many other things I can interpret if you'd like to visit my office. I have tarot cards, tea that can be brewed, palms to be read... Just give me something, please. I'm weary of the inertia.

I dreamt I ate my mattress last night. I think mostly it just means I was hungry. [ He's too used to dreams and tarot cars and tea to be mystified by this like he was with the teleportation. ]

Well Mr. Parrish, as easy as it would be to simplify it down to hunger some would argue that the act of eating while dreaming as more psychological in nature. Eating your mattress alone in your room, for example, could indicate that you're lacking in something. [His expression turns inquisitive.] Tell me, Adam, is there something missing from your life here?

Adam keeps his expression neutral. He doesn't look like there's much going on in his head, but underneath the surface there's a storm. ] Marshmallows, maybe? [ He won't be psychoanalysed. He's too suspicious for that. ] What's the weirdest dream someone's come to you with?

[ Athos said Eric would get bored quite quickly. Still, the man has done a marvellous job at speed. It took Athos a month or so to start searching for things to do that weren't exploring his water to wine power. ]

Sadly, I cannot help you with it. I rarely dream and I have no interest in having my fortune told.

Maybe you are just as psychic as myself, monsieur. [A sigh.] I knew it would happen inevitably, after all I have quite a busy life back home.

And dreaming rarely, what a luxury, if only I could have such a life.

[ Athos makes a disagreeing noise. Of course he's not a psychic. ] I believe it is because I am far too busy in the day. Sleep comes quickly and thoroughly. [ It also helps that he drinks a load of wine before he collapses into his bed. ]

Perhaps you should get a dog? [ He is a great advocate of the animal sanctuary. He needs other people to adopt them so he cannot. ]

I'm aware, yes... but unfortunately the prospects of setting off an office of setting up an office of psychiatry are pretty slim considering this place's rather infamous shrink.

You can't let that stop you, though. Make it a less formal practice, perhaps, or have group sessions to begin with. People are bound to have less nerves when they're on masse.

Okay okay so, I'm at school, right? And all my friends are there and we're doing our math work. It's all quiet and stuff but then the ground starts shaking and there this loud noise! So we all get under our desk cause we think there's an earthquake. But then, all the sudden it gets real cold in the classroom, so we look up, and the roof of the school is off! A giant 100 foot tall Barney the Dinosaur has taken the roof off our school!

Obviously we can't work under these conditions, right? So my friend and all all start attacking Barney's feet with our pencils. But that only makes him angry and he tries to step on us. All my friends get away, but I get cornered! Then, as a final act of desperation, I breath fire and burn giant Barney into a pile of ash!

....so what do you think that means?

[Eric is just going to take a few minutes of staring wide eyed into the camera. Oh god. What is this.

Eventually he sighs.] Young man it sounds like you have an incredibly active imagination. [He wasn't in the business of explaining children's dreams. So instead he made up his own. It was something he did with the younger members of the coven, especially those who might have more traumatic dreams than others.] It could symbolise the fact that schooling is imprisoning you, or you see your teachers as great monsters.

Your use of a pencil as a weapon, however, denotes that you're rather intelligent and even in the dream know that tools of creativity such as pencils are important. [A grin.] Breathing fire may also be a sign of powerful things to come.

I'm a psychic yes, but some elements of dream interpretation come from psychology rather than any mystical realm.
For example losing a game of mahjong could symbolise taking risks in life.
If there was gambling involved in the game it could be a sign you may lose more than just a game.

[ As it happens, d'Artagnan actually has a very good reason to be interested in this. He's not about to say what it is outright, though. This is not the kind of job that would get a lot of credence where he is from -

though, he knows of Dufosset. Athos had mentioned him favourably. ]

What does that mean, exactly - is there some science behind what you do, or is it a power of yours?

Its not what I do back home, of course. Well, its one of the things I may do when prompted. But I use both the psychological imagery of what the mind might present us in order to cope with day-to-day life alongside a more spiritual indicator of certain symbols. It isn't an exact science of course, but when are these things ever exact?

A few weeks ago I dreamed I was back in training, only I'd missed all the drills and couldn't remember how to hold a sword. Then I remembered I already served the Grandmaster of the Knights Templar for years and woke up. It was dreadful, but without much mystery, I think.

[He stops for a moment, thinking about it.] I've had similar dreams myself. Dreams about forgetting, however, are often a good sign. Especially if you're forgetting something that seems rather impossible to forget. [A small smile.] Its usually a sign that you're at peace with those things.
