So, world hopping and sudden super powers? Can't say I've heard that one before. [Jay gives a grin at the video, somewhat at ease with the technology at least to not be worried about it. He's not sure if he should be giving out a lot of information on the network and in all fairness he doesn't know who is actually around. The superhero stuff, for now, can stay on the backburner. There is a chance that there are people who know him in this place but in the same vein there could be those on the network who aren't on the side of good. Sticking to the basics is definitely going to help for the time being.]

Do I have to do the introduction thing? I guess I should, huh. Might be some folks around here that I actually know. My name is Jay Garrick, part-time chemist and part-time physicist. This place is quite similar to my own world but it has a good few differences here and there. Are there many problems here with everyone getting superpowers? I mean that can't be healthy on a grand scale, not everyone can be expected to get along. Guess it's a testament the city is still standing.

Apparently coffee is now the universal constant. Can't say I'm too upset at that one. Right, are there labs here for people to use?

[Someone looks pleased, but then Jay's missed his superspeed something fierce.]

[ The face that is in the camera is a little... looming.

Leaning too far in, there might be a grin. A big one. It's laced with a slight edge, as it always is, but there's a... well, after a moment, he even takes off the sunglasses. They're purple. ]

Jay Garrick? You certainly took your time getting here. How unusual.

[ That grin's a little nonplussed, despite the near-insult. Or maybe it's just a hint. ]

Someone seems excited for some reason and Jay slowly raises an eyebrow. Purple eyes, huh? That'll be something to casually work into the conversation.]

You'll have to take that up with the other guys, I only just got my invite.

You were waiting? I mean, I'm not sure we've met.

What sort of laboratory are you looking for?

I couldn't agree more. It seems like there's such a melting pot here of people that it's bound to happen.

One that will let people work in it for research, most likely. There are going to be things here that even I'm not familiar with and the opportunity to look into them would be a good thing.

This is already all wrong; the the Jay Garrick Peej knows is much older, of course. Sneaking a peek at his other conversations reveals this Jay is from an earlier timeline or, though the thought makes her heart plummet into her stomach, from an entirely different world.

She wants to say something, but fear of disappointment nearly outweighs that the rational thing to do would be to talk to him. ]

[ Barry cannot stop grinning. Maybe if he talks about how awesome Iris is to Shade she'll show up too. Because that's clearly what made Jay get ported in. ]

Kind of depends on what you'd define as problems, Jay. Might have been a lesser of two evils to give powers to everyone.

The strangest worlds. I found myself in a pretty weird place not so long ago.

[Grins back too. It's like Barry was summoned or something, all things considering. Especially considering Shade is just about ratting Barry out for talking.]

I'd be quick to think of some things as more problematic than others.

[Hint hint. Though on that subject....]

There are a lot of people here who seem to know a version of me that isn't me.

[ It's always an interesting group that show their interest in people like this, but Karen's reaction in particular catches his attention. She's been hurt, he recognizes, having been here so long and seen so many friends come and go, many not knowing who she is. Garrick doesn't seem to know anyone, but if he's so far out of time as it seems, from his other conversations, then that's not unusual. Maybe he's as far knocked away from the typical timeline as Bruce is.

So he doesn't expect to be known when he records his own message. ]

We have villains, if that's what you're asking. What sort of lab work are you into?

[ Bruce is absolutely right in that there's no recognition. He is so far out of his league when it comes to everyone around him right now that it's going to take some time to get used to.]

Actually it was what I was asking. Just didn't want to paint that target over my head by saying it outright. Physics and chemistry for the most part. I wasn't part of the usual mainstream group of scientists, but I had my own stuff going on. Yourself?

De Chima is something of the technological center among the imPort cities. There are three relatively well known facilities run by imPorts.

StarkTech is managed by a Mr. Tony Stark, with some emphasis on consumer technology. Starrware, run by Karen Starr focuses most on environmental R&D. Oscorp is run by Norman Osborn.. chemical research and development, I believe.

There was also a state of the art research facility being constructed by a Dr. Xanatos, but unfortunately, he was ported from this world some months ago. His properties were willed to Mr. Stark.

Jay! [He can't help it, he was pinged to the name just like Wally was. Only unlike Wally, as soon as he's switching on his video feed and seeing that this definitely isn't the Jay Garrick that took him in back home, he's pretty instantly looking a bit... well. Disappointed.
