[Kaneda looks up and backward at Maya in the doorway, giving a helpless shrug.]

[She steps forward, though, eyes off Kaneda and on Tetsuo.]

Hey. If I get you a soda this time, will you come with us next time? You don't have to, but you're gonna miss out on all the cool stuff there!

[And by cool stuff she basically just means food. God, food is awesome and these two have not had great food.]

[Mutters something Kaneda may be able to interpret as 'I guess'. Which may as well be a 'no'.]

[Pocketing that communicator, Kaneda leans over, nudging Tetsuo ever so slightly.]

Once I even saw like, these pre-cut kits so you could make sushi at home!
