[ He does not know how long he's been gone. Nor an idea of where he has been. That is the worst part. That he could be taken and have nothing at all to account for it, no memories, no idea of what or where or why. Between one moment and the next, time has passed and Athos has too many unanswered questions. The anger that this causes, along with the strain to keep it contained, is evident in his voice when he chooses to address the network. ]

The Russians, the people who were taken, what happened to them?

[ He has to get back to De Chima, to make sure both d'Artagnan and Lucy are safe. But he is in Heropa somewhere and he does not want to waste time. If they are not safe then he will do whatever he can to find them again.

He has a cache of weaponry somewhere. He made sure to hide something in each of the Porter cities. So that is where he is heading first.

Is the fight still going?

[ WELL. That's indirect contact. It's a start! ]

It is possible he may show up in this world once again as well. With people coming and going all the time, it shouldn't be surprising to see a familiar face.

[ A pause. ]

Have you ever encountered a friend who was here, then went home, and returned without the memories of their previous stay?

I suppose that is fortunate for you. And yes, I have seen it. Actually with someone from home who came to this world. She was here for quite some time, then went home and when she returned, she forgot everything about this world.

[ A satisfying fate for Skye. ]

She and I don't get along too well. So it isn't as though she forgot anything of relevance when it came to us. Still, it's odd how that can happen to people.

I imagine it was moreso for the people who had known her before. Do you think it would be a silly idea to write a letter to yourself in the event this happens? A letter explaining all your friendships and things you've done in this world? I suppose the most difficult part of it would be figuring out the delivery.

Now that would be an excellent idea, adding it to our files. Maybe I'll propose it to the network at some point to see if it's something people might be interested in doing before going about and talking to the government officials in charge of putting our things together.

Thank you, Athos.
