ACT VI - video;
[ Max is in his Museum of Folklore uniform, the red cap on his head clashing something awful with the khaki shirt, but he's long since resigned himself to the clash and so should you. Behind him is part of the display on the Epic of Gilgamesh, and he's got a bottled water in his free hand as he talks, grinning into the camera. ]
So guys, you all know I work at the Museum of Folklore, right? I had an idea I wanna run by my bosses if I can get enough info on it. Like, a display on heroes from ImPort worlds. Or even a whole exhibit, if I can get enough —
[ Max stops mid-sentence, looking a little mortified at the sudden crack in his voice. He pauses to take a drink of water and collects himself quickly, clearing his throat before he speaks again. ]
Enough... enough stuff.
Do you guys have any old legends where you come from? You know, the kind of stories that get passed down through the generations about heroes and gods and the like? I'm looking specifically for stuff that might be unique to your world, but anything is great. You can tell me about them over the network or we can meet at the museum.
With everything going on, I think it's... really important to remember where we came from, you know? And this would be a great way to learn about — a-about each other, too.
[ He looked like he might have said more, but his cheeks turn pink at that second crack in his voice. He takes another sip of water and cuts the video there. ]

Riku wasn't really going to reply to this. The grounds on which they last spoke makes it feel very awkward to him. But he's curious.]
Museum of... just this world's folklore?
[Is there so much you need a museum for it...?]
video
Well, yeah. The world's a big place. Different countries all over the world came up with different stories as their societies grew, you know?
video
Yeah, I guess. You'll have to excuse me on that though, because a world this big is new for me.
video
[ Well, Riku's not tearing him a new one. That's a good sign. ]
...What kind of world did you come from?

Look, you just need to act like it doesn't bother you. Then no one will think it's funny.

Yeah, I know how to roll with the punches. Just took me by surprise is all. [ See? He didn't flinch at that one. ] I've dealt with way worse than my voice cracking on the spot, trust me.

I could tell you the tale of a Jedi Master's run in with hallucinogenics.
Jedi Master?
Like, honest-to-god, lightsabers and the Force and droids-we-aren't-looking-for Jedi Master?
[ GET THE FUCK OUT DUDE ]
Uhh ... Yes. His name is Obi-Wan Kenobi.
But I am also a Jedi.
[He must point this out because he is awesome.]

Dude, I'm sittin' in front of the oldest nursery rhyme on record. Sorta.
Lay 'em on me, my man!

[ casual nonchalant grin! ] It goes on for about five more stanzas but you get the gist. Ready for the next one?
