[Here she pauses for dramatic effect, straightening up before holding out her arms wide with a big smile, her eyes practically sparking.]

The idol herself, the one and only expert in love shining brightly through the darkness- Minako Aino!

That's right, here I am, ready to take on anything you all can throw at me! So bring it on, I'm totally ready to take on the bad guys so they better beware now! I won't go easy on them!

[She gives a loud laugh, giving a peace sign to the camera, confident as always.]

But I hope we can all be friends! I guess I have to go back to school here so a lucky few may be my new classmates too, it will be lots of fun and I bet there will be a cute guy who would be happy to show a pretty new girl the ropes, right?

I do! I promise you'll enjoy high school a lot more with friends to help you along the way, even if you're the top of the class.

[ M... maybe, but prior experience says the loneliness of self-chosen isolation isn't so terrible. Really. Beats the way you feel when you turn around and betray every hope or expectation those others could have had in you.

Friends. Who knows? Maybe such a thing can exist here... for a while. ]

What exactly are these friends helping me along with, theoretically speaking?

Friends can help you with anything! Everyone gets a little lonely sometimes or needs encouragement, someone to believe in them at some point. Or even to just take the books away and remind them to have a little fun and enjoy life from time to to time.

I take it you've done all of these things at some point.

Mhm! I have a couple friends who are the serious or studious types, they help me study and I help them relax and unwind so I'm definitely a pro!

Would you say you're keeping an eye out for those types, to help make sure they take time to unwind?

I guess you can say that! I have experience with those types so you're in good hands, Annie.

I was just thinking about some of the others around who might benefit from your particular skills.
