[Conan had spent the two months since his arrival in Maurtia Falls determined to avoid posting anything on the network. Without knowing everyone who might be seeing it, he had decided it was just too risky to have his face and name out there for anyone to see. Not without knowing whether one of them was here.

It had taken seven-year-old Shinichi Kudo less than ten minutes to figure out exactly how to operate the communicator. And more importantly, how to make the video function work.

The kid frowns into the video. Anyone who had ever met Conan would have no trouble recognizing him. Apart from the missing glasses, he looked exactly the same.]

[He taps at the camera suspiciously.]

He's the only one I've ever heard of. Mom says he used to teach her disguises.

[ There were only a few people he remembered his Dad teaching, now that he thinks about it.

He even met one of them, although it felt like a long time ago. ]

[He looks around nervously, as if he was expecting her to just show up out of nowhere.]

Don't call her that. She gets really scary when someone calls her an obaasan.

Yeah, she doesn't, doesn't she? She got all weird after I called her that and then Dad yelled at me for bothering them.

Wait, you know her?

[ He nods. ]

I met her once when I was little. Well... I guess the age you are now, maybe? She and Dad met up for lunch or dinner or something and I was there too. I gave her a rose and called her, well, that.

[ He peers closer to the screen. ]

I didn't know she had a young kid though. I just thought she had that one that was my age.

What are you talking about? I don't have any siblings.

He's supposed to be some hot shot high school detective or something.
