Ok, well, maybe you should send him a secret admirer's card and then see who he comes up with in his theories. It mightn't be you, if he's like... uh, this dense... but if it's someone like you, then you can consider that as a clue that you might be good. And... you won't make him awkward if it's like nobody like you.

[ The feed goes dark for a moment ... and then Hiro's face pops up again, in his comm this time. ]

[ before akito can greet him properly, benji makes his presence known and comes barreling over excitedly, dropping his chewed-up frisbee by akito as he tries to get up all in hiro's face. Akito holds him back by the collar, using his temporary tail to grip it. ]

Ah- Benji is happy to see you!

[ Hiro can't help but laugh as he gets a faceful of puppy. Silly guy .. ]

Whoa, hey! I'm not going anywhere.

[ really though benji... getting in the way of maybe doki-doki confessions! akito leaves his puppy to it, knowing he's trained the munchkin well enough that he'll calm down after making sure hiro knows he is adored by a stinky doge. ]

...But you really think it wouldn't be a horrible idea? To, um, tell the person I like that I like him?

[ Hiro keeps petting the dog, completely oblivious. ]

Well yeah. You gotta. If you wanna actually date him or whatever.

[ so oblivious it's almost painful. but hiro wouldn't be hiro if he wasn't. and if he wasn't hiro, akito wouldn't like him... and wouldn't be in this situation in the first place.

he'll watch hiro with benji for a few moments longer. not because he's nervous or anything. obviously. really.
