Uh, hey there. I suppose I should re-introduce myself, since a certain someone pointed out I hadn't posted since I... uh, tried to get help with my powers. Thanks for that, by the way, everyone! It's been a couple months now and I've got the hang of it.

Anyway, I'm Phoenix, Phoenix Wright. But uh, now I've got a different problem. See, they uh... assigned me a job. And, I mean, it is something I have some experience with, and I've been doing alright introducing the basic concepts, but...

[A groan.]

Why do they think I can teach law here just cause I practice it at home!?

I've never had to plan lessons before, and I'm supposed to teach National Security Law to Students? I'm not exactly an expert on that level of the law, not to mention this place is... well, a lot different!

...I suppose I should explain what I did at home, too. In case anyone is interested. Back home, I was a defense attorney. So if people need help, I can offer to represent them - at least, I'm pretty sure the Bar Exam isn't that much different than the one I took. I've got a pretty good track record, too. So... if you need someone, I'm always on hand - it's sure something I have more experience with than teaching.

[A beat.]

I mean... I'm kind of committed to the job for at -least- a semester. So... there's that.

Besides, it's at least some spending money for me to use on some things I need, like transportation.

It's just... weird, teaching people who probably aren't that much less knowledgeable than me...!

Hey, I've had professors bail midway through the semester, so it's not totally unheard of. And, well, if you're not qualified, it's a little disingenuous to pretend otherwise, isn't it?

Teaching isn't too hard. If you don't know what to do, just ask your students questions.

Yeah, I am! I used to do law work in Los Angeles. Things are a lot different here, though.

...I suppose that's a good point. I actually remember a few of my own teachers doing that to us...

That's correct. Most of them have a good grasp on the fundamentals already.

It appears that is common place for them to hand out employment without as much thought as they perhaps should. Do you really believe you should stay at this job?

...For a semester, at least. I don't want to leave these students in the lurch because I came unprepared. I'd be doing them a disservice if I didn't at least give it a shot.

I'd like to get behind a bench again at some point, though.

You know half the people here don't actually keep the jobs the government gives them for all that long, right? It's, like, the most common starter question here, 'cause they kind of give out stupid jobs half the time.

What would you want to do here?

...Well, I don't know about want, exactly. But what I was best at was helping people who needed it - I defended the innocent and tried my best to make sure the truth was always discovered.

They gave me a job at a travel agency, of all places. I do travel a good bit, back home, but my job was teaching English. Seems like they just skim over the basics and go from there.

(At least they didn't look into my actual case record, I could have ended up a Homicide Detective.)

I may know the law, but I'm much more... uh. Small-scale, than that.
