[Okay, so this isn't the first time Sorey is using it. He seems to have had more practice than his first attempt or prior when he was a child for a while, at least. He gives the phone a wave, before running a hand through his hair.] So, uh. I was wanting to say hi? Looks like we're getting some more people showing up. I -- we can try help answer some questions but others have been here longer than me and Mikleo have.

[ Mikleo nods his head, looking to the camera, and then to Sorey again. ] Don't forget, most people can't see me. But, for those who can, we've settled in more than enough to know a fair amount of information about this world.

[Sorey gives a nod, by now a bit more used to most not being able to see his friend.] Yeah! The main thing we wanted to ask was the Porter - a couple of friends were here from home, but not anymore. But there's no way to figure how it works or if they might come back, is there?

[ Mikleo crosses his arms, leaning against the nearby wall. ] Well, we wanted to know the chances of them reappearing here again, anyways. I've heard that there have been cases when those who have been ported come back.

Right! And how sometimes people might remember being here? Or some don't.....? I don't know if there's any sort of pattern with that or not. Just figured it couldn't hurt to ask. And oh yeah! I guess Glenwood had different holidays to here. I was thinking of doing a list or something since there seem to be a lot.

[ The look on Mikleo's face becomes fairly dry at that. ] ... Hey, that's a pretty big jump to suddenly make with this, isn't it...?

Is it? I was just thinking of what I wanted to ask about..... [But maybe it is? Sorey's so used to the seraphim, or talking in person about most anything that comes to mind that he doesn't really think much about this.]

It is. [ He sighs lightly, but looks to the device quickly enough. ] We're more used to festivals being held to celebrate different days and events, so we're curious to know about different holidays.

Like the one in Ladylake with the Sacred Sword, yeah. So if anyone can tell us about the ones here, that'd be neat! [Evidently, Sorey is way used to Mikleo's sighing and correcting him by now. So he doesn't really react much if at all to such things.]

[That's a question that opens a whole lot of paths to depressing conversation. Riku frowns, looking like he's not sure how to answer this.]

There's no real way to tell, no. If they do return, whether they remember or not seems to be hit and miss. I don't think either of those things are predictable.

On the subject of holidays... I don't know that there's a whole lot that happens in the summer. Oh, there's -- a celebration in July. I'm not really sure what it's about, but there's a lot of food.

[He doesn't know what the 4th of July is even for, outside of it being somehow patriotic. Another thing to research...]

No way to tell....I though it might be. But we had to ask, to be sure.

[It still hurt. Especially losing Alisha. The one of the two he knew better and longer than Rose from what he himself remembers. But even so. Now he just has Mikleo as the one familiar person in all of this.]

July? Is that the next one? That's another couple months off yet isn't it?

[From what he can tell with this calendar.]

Yeah... no, it's impossible to know. It seems to me that... when there are people from a world here, that more from that world tend to show up. But maybe that's just me paying attention to a detail that doesn't make a difference.

[He nods, looking thoughtful.]

Yeah, that's... we have this month and next to get through, and then we'll be there.

I know this place is still kind of dangerous too. But it would be good to see Lailah and the others again.

[But either way. It isn't in their control. Nothing for it but to wait.]

What's this next one about then? Is this one where you give everyone chocolate too?

Well, it's -- a more subdued dangerous, I feel like. Compared to where I've been, anyway.

["One where you give everyone chocolate"... Valentine's?]

Nah. I think it's a celebration of the country itself. It's mostly just an excuse for people to get together and shoot off fireworks, though.

I suppose there's no way of knowing in that case... [ Mikleo responds thoughtfully, cupping his chin before he drops that hand to his side. ]

It seems that that's common for most holidays. Celebrating with food, that is.

No, there's not. I'm curious whether it could be predicted, though. And... I think celebrating with food makes sense. Like, mostly everybody has to eat, so it's common to everybody.

The only ones who may have the answer to that are the ones in charge of bringing those here.

[ He shrugs his shoulders lightly. The word food doesn't mean far too much to him, really... Except in regards to his friend and making sure that he eats. ]

And humans do enjoy food. Well, so do seraphim.

I don't know that the people running it are even certain, to be honest.

[Riku has a theory that when the Porter became possessed that it got away entirely from the people running it. But he can't be certain.]

Yeah? The way you said that, though... do you not have to eat, then?

Uh huh...?

[Uhhhh.....this may be one of those people who can't see the second person speaking at all. She'll be right up to the camera, staring at the communication thing before her, almost believing she'll find the mysterious second voice somewhere in the background.]

....I don't know what kind of magic you are using, but I know there is someone else in there with you. Somewhere. Unless you're good at throwing your voice around. Or terrible at keeping your comments under your breath. Or something.... [She was about to suggest he was crazy, but bit her own tongue over it. Or else, she was going crazy because the second voice as faint and echoing as it sounded didn't feel similar to the other guys'.

Either way, it won't be long for her to pull the device away from her face, sigh, and just relax for a bit, herself.]

I don't know much about any potential holidays here. Not yet, anyway. But, I did go to a festival not too long ago back home. It was a harvest one that the people in and close to the Sun Kingdom would celebrate while using the occasion to trade or sell their goods with other citizens and farmers alike. Their food and harvest were quite good. I much prefer their games though. [And since he opened the door on the subject.] What's the Ladylake with the Sacred Sword like? It sounds more like a title you give to a knight than an actual festival. Is it formal or something?

[ Another person who can't see him, huh...? At least she isn't calling Sorey crazy or calling Mikleo imaginary. She's got a good head on her shoulders. And... Mikleo is glad for that. He doesn't want Sorey to feel anymore odd about his ability to see and hear him.

He'll take note of everything she's saying, however. He'd like to know everything he can about this world, and about others if possible. ]

[Although she can't see him, she was curious to see the level of concentration she'll need to hear his voice. Here comes her questions for him as his more visible partner doesn't seem to be the greatest at explaining certain terms and the like.]

Mikelo, is your name, right? Are there other seraphim around or are you alone?

[She may or may not be staring at the area where the other boy was looking a moment ago. Definitely observing the other to figure out where the invisible one could possibly be.]

Ah! No! No, you don't have to. I should have, you know, been more specific about it. [That, and she has having some trouble listening to his voice. She needed to almost concentrate fully on it to hear.] To be fair, I only responded to this message thing because I thought you were one of the voices of this world. I wanted to see if I could ask for advice, but...that was pretty stupid of me in having thought as much, huh? [Which is a little embarrassing to admit now.]

I see. Sorey told me your a water elemental one, and that he was raised with you and a few others too. Are you the only water elemental seraph or are there no limit to who can hold which element?

Hm? Oh, no. It's not magic! Why? Can you hear Mikleo too? Not many people can, you know. You need a certain level of resonance to see or hear him. I can do both, cause I grew up with him and the other seraphim in Elysia back home.

[It's. Kind of an explanation? But Nike will probably want more answers. More details than that.....but Sorey still looks excited all the same before he listens, shifting and looking to Mikleo as he does.]

The Sun Kingdom? What kind of games did they have? [Games are fun! Like hide and seek, or tag. Though neither of those are a good idea when exploring ruins.....]

The festival is pretty formal, I guess. Admittedly I was only there the once and I kind of....passed out part way through? But it's a chance for people to see if they can pull the sword out. And if they do, they get to be the new Shepherd.

[Again. Sorey isn't used to explaining this stuff. Lailah is probably really the one to ask about this especially. But she isn't here.]

Oh, that explains it! [Well, at least, the explanation behind the other boy being able to have someone by his side when not many can hear or see him.] I know he's there because I heard his voice. To be fair, at first, I thought he was part of this world, just a quieter version of one of the many voices the natural surroundings can offer. However, now that I think about it....if he was really part of this world, then it wouldn't be as distant and low sounding as it is. I need to concentrate hard enough to hear it. [That's her two cents about it, at least. Now comes the questions.] Is he celestial or spiritual being from where you're from? How many are there in total? Are they organized by classifications or anything of the sort? [She'll be turning her attention to the other guy in a bit with more questions as a way to get him to talk back.]

That would be the name of the kingdom that my future husband rules over. I'm from the Rain Kingdom. [As for games.] There were all types! Darts game, folk dance contest, tossing horse shoes, contests proving your strength by lifting weights, and guessing games too!

[She'll listen about his festival's own events which will have her wondering the reason he had passed out for, but decided to let it pass and concentrate on a more important question.]

Heh! A Shepherd sounds pretty important. Is it a purely governmental title or spiritual one instead? What does it mean to be one? Are you still one?

Hm, if you can hear him you have to have some resonance. But yeah! He's a water seraph. I guess you could say they are like elemental spirits or something. They have a few different names. And some are older and probably more powerful than others. Mostly I just know the ones I grew up with at Elysia, plus Lailah and Edna, really. Each of them has a different element, like Mikleo is a water seraph, Lailah is a fire seraph and Edna has power over earth, is that what you mean by classifications?

[A kingdom of rain? That sounds.....wet. But nice too, in a way?]

Sounds like fun. But ah, the Shepherd is important. They can help bridge the gap between humans and seraphim. Because most people can't see or hear the seraphim anymore. I think it's kind of both? The government recognizes the Shepherd, or, most humans do, and try to help. The Shepherd is supposed to help purify the land of Malevolence, which will stop the hellions, and defeat the Lord of Calamity.

Resonance? [A moment to think about the meaning of that word. It won't be long until she speaks her thoughts out loud about it.] If it's anything like the requirements of my rain song, then I may have an idea over what you mean. Especially if he is a spirit. An elemental one too. [She'll continue to listen to his explanation over more about seraphs which will have her smiling happily at one point.] That sounds pretty cool! Did you live a peaceful childhood with them? And yeah, that is exactly what I meant over classification. We have something similar in way of gods back home. [Kinda. Her Rain Kingdom, ironically enough, weren't as devoted as the Sun Kingdom was about it.]

It was! I had a great time. [If you simply ignore what happened after that event, anyways.] It sounds a lot like a mediator, of sorts. Are the seraphim very important in your world to have someone speak on behalf of both sides? [Because they are beginning to sound more and more important for the government and religion wish to work together. A complete contrast to the way things are over at the Sun Kingdom.]

[ Yeah, Hyunsoo definitely only sees one guy over there. Although at least said guy looks a little familiar - it takes a few moments before it clicks in his mind though, and he blinks rapidly in surprise. He doesn't have much useful to add about the other's questions though, so-- ]

Y-- you were a lot smaller last time. [ Incredibly helpful. He's not even thinking yet about how weird the whole Sorey talking to air thing is, this just caught his attention first.. ]

[Sorey looks almost sheepish, especially at the vague memories he has of speaking to Hyunsoo, the other's earnest fretting over him when he was little and figuring using the network, talking about ruins.]

[ At least that means there's two people sheepish here, because that's sure what Hyunsoo's mood turns into once he's half over the shock.. Oh god. He was all fussy in front of someone who isn't cute anymore now. That's embarrassing, okay? ]

... You remember all of that too? [ Please say you don't, Sorey. Or that it's only vague. Save his dignity. ]

Ah....kind of? Not the best, but I sort of vaguely remember. We talked about ruins, right?

[Or something like that? But yes. It's okay Hyunsoo, unless anyone deliberately stalks past entries with the network, you're probably safe in not being found to be so protective of small children. Or, this one in particular, for that while.]

Yeah. [ Ruins sounds like the safest and least embarrassing part of that conversation, so he's willing to roll with it. ] It's kind of weird to be that obsessed with something like ruins as a kid, you know.
