Hi there! I thought it was about time to make a proper introduction for myself. I'm Inanna, The Morning and Evening Star, etcetera. But please, just call me Inanna.

I've met a few imPorts already, but I'm curious—what's it been like for those of you who've never had powers before? I wonder if it's anything like my experience was.

Ours was the bible. Once. I can't imagine a government ever managing to cover it up though.

Yeah, I don't think our government's that good at their job, either. So... Probably no powers. And if God ever was real, I'm pretty sure he forgot about my world.

It's fine. I don't think we need Him. Or maybe we do, but we're figuring it out without Him.

[Inanna isn't really sure what to think of the idea of that. Deities recurred at least once a century in his world—what would one without that divine guidance be like? He can't really imagine it, but all he says is—]

I'm sure you're managing well. Humans are pretty determined.

Don't mind, just ain't that interesting. It's like this world, almost, but minus the superpower shit and the flying cars, plus the Cold War ended like fifty years ago.

[More like twenty, but he doesn't pay much attention to history.]

[It's really a little surprising. A world progressing without divine inspiration?? Apparently it must be possible.]

Lotta worlds like it, far as I can tell. Mostly just little things that're different.

It's almost disappointing. I kind of hoped to meet some aliens when I realized this was a different world.
