Capsule 011 ð (video)
[It's been a long while since Kaneda had to think about preparing himself for the worst in this place. Maybe ever since the Perestroika Seminar things had quieted down to a relatively tame degree, but he's noticed he (especially him) have been getting too comfortable. Not that it's a bad thing--he certainly liked waking up in the morning and not having to fear for his life on a constant basis. But the reality being that the world now saw them as weapons and targets has never quite left his mind. America, for as much as it offered him and as better of a life as it gave him....was still America. And that's the part he hates most.
There's also Peter Pan to consider. He's not going to pretend that the issue of him being let go after four months isn't bugging him, and it's clearly visible when those brows furrow every time the topic's brought up. He needed new tricks to keep up with this guy.
For all his weapons stashed in his closet, he's certainly not going to be the one to say 'yeah, that's enough'. If he'd stopped before, he'd have been a lot less prepared for the events that happened. So when the feed clicks on, he's seen in HIS room for once, Capsule (his golden retriever) lying with him on his bed.
His request is fairly simple.
And it's something one wouldn't really be too surprised to hear coming from him.]
Oi.
Anyone know how to use swords?
[Because he's looking for teachers.]

Are you asking in general, or a specific sort?
[it's important to ask, since his proficiency really didn't mean much if Kaneda wanted to know about scimitars or katanas or something like that.]
video; oh my god the streams finally crossed
Now he's got Kaneda's full attention.]
Well I'm up for any and all, really. Not gonna turn down one specific style or anything.

[He smiles, though, sitting up a bit more.]
But swords got one thing over guns--no reloading.

[Of course you'd go for the Japanese one, Kaneda. His eyes practically light up like stars at the idea.
It's just like in one of his animes!]...
Now I gotta find someone who knows...

Re: video;
[They can jam, you can run out of ammo, your aim might be off, you can't do close range, the sound gives you away...there's a number of factors that swords have over guns. So despite being easier...
They're also problematic.]

[It's curiosity, mostly, because if there's one thing he needs to learn, it's how to defend himself against swords too. Someone grew up in an age of guns.]
