[The video starts by showing a tired young man, sitting in a rather plain bedroom. His hair's a little messed up, and he's still wearing the clothes he arrived in, a blue coat draped over his usual red suit.]

I should be trying to sleep, but I don't think I can. Not after everything that's happened today. I'm still trying to wrap my head around it.

I'm Apollo Justice, and... I don't want to be here. There's not much else I can say about it. I was in the middle of an important investigation, and being kidnapped to- to wherever this is, and given weird powers by a bunch of military guys, wasn't exactly on my agenda! I'd just like to thank whoever had this bright idea, or whatever cosmic force decided it'd be funny to keep me from finding out the truth-!

[He squeezes his eyes shut and takes a deep breath, sounding a little calmer when he continues,] ... Okay. I'm fine. Tomorrow, I'll try to get my bearings and find out more about this place. It's not like I have much of a choice.

Yes, yes. I'm okay! No need to worry! Daddy and I have been hanging in there just fine.

[Something's... different about him.]

Yeah, besides all that. [Like it's no big deal.] What's this about a big investigation?

I know you and Mr. Wright are pretty good at that, but I'm still glad to hear it.

Uh... Trucy, you don't know? You were right there before I left to look at the crime scene.

So are you. Though you haven't told me if you're okay yet.

[... Hmm. She thinks a moment.]

Which crime scene do you mean? I thought we were between cases.

Between cases? Is this the same thing that Mr. Wright had...?

[Apollo trails off into a brief silence, his expression drawn.]

... I'm fine, Trucy. The crime scene I'm talking about is at the Cosmos Space Center. There was... a murder.

The thing about time? Maybe it is. Uncle Miles and everyone else all seem to be ahead of me and Daddy.

[Assuming he's at least told her about the place and his relation to it.]

The space center? The place you always used to hang out? Oh no...

It looks like I might be ahead of you, too.

Yeah. That's the one. It's a complicated case, and I'm not happy about being pulled away from it.

I'm sorry I wasn't there to help you. [Or was... or. Something.]

Wait... how far ahead were you? Am I in college yet? Do I have my own TV show? Or a boyfriend?

It's okay, Trucy. It wasn't your fault.

Uh, no? I'm only a year ahead of Mr. Wright, so you're not old enough for any of that yet!

I'm almost sixteen! That's definitely old enough for a boyfriend or a TV show!

[Grumblegrumble... but she's back on topic fairly quickly.]

A-anyway... I'm glad you're here. It was too quiet with just me and Daddy.

[Apollo has some serious doubts over if Mr. Wright will let her date before she hits her thirties, but it seems safer to not bring that up.]

You missed my Chords of Steel that much? I'd much rather us all be at home, but... at least we're still together, right?

I was about to start yelling all the time just to make up for their absence.

[With a wide, pleased grin, she nods with agreement.]

It's like I told Daddy. It doesn't matter where we are if we're together, right? The Anything Agency will be back in business wherever we end up!

Are you going to start the Agency back up here? That would be... really, really great.

Of course! I'm here, you're here, Daddy's here and getting back into law soon, that Athena girl is here, Mr. Hat is here...

That's all the key players! The Wright Anything Agency's East Coast branch is coming soon!

[... a beat.]

Right after I finish finals. Ugh.

Yeah, I'd say finals are a little more important. I noticed that they like to just give out jobs here, so we'll all be fine until then.

You and Daddy both. Isn't going to another dimension a good excuse to get out of going to school?

[But oh well. At least it's almost summer vacation!]

Where are you staying, Apollo? I'm staying with Daddy and Miss Mia at their place until Daddy and I can find somewhere else.

Nope. Not unless we end up in an endless desert, or a dimension where apes rule the planet.

I'm where those government guys put me. The paperwork says it's house number twelve? It doesn't look like I have many roommates yet.

Aaah, you guys are both no fun!

[She looks a little too excited at that prospect.]

Aha! Polly, is it finally time for you to move in with me and Daddy? Become a Wright for real?

[Good going, Trucy, you've completely stunned him. Apollo actually spends a long moment just gaping at the screen before he can say anything,]

Are... are you serious? I mean, I'm not - well, it's not like you can just a-a-ad- okay, you're joking, aren't you?

[Color her shocked at the very idea!]

What? Why would I be joking?

I've got a wonderful Daddy, but the Mommy and Big Brother spots are still open and I'm always taking applications!

[Ohhh if only she knew.]

[Apollo just stares at the screen, not sure what to think. He looks a little stricken by it all, until he leans over to start opening nightstand drawers to make it seem like he's looking for something. It's a handy excuse to get his face away from the camera and try to compose himself, his voice from directly off-screen now.]

You might want to look for someone that can put in a better resume. You didn't even ask your dad, did you?

[The bright smile slowly fades away from her face. Trucy can be silly at the best of times, but she's good at reading people. And she knows Apollo well enough to tell when something is wrong.]

What do you mean?

[She's much more serious now.]

I wouldn't need to ask him, Apollo. You know you're a part of our family, don't you? Daddy would say the same thing.

[When his reply comes, Apollo is fine. Really, he is. He's at least more composed again, as doubtful as he looks.]

Mr. Wright told me that State vs. Misham just started for him. I don't know exactly what point you come from, but that means you've known me for... less than four months, actually.

[Totally neglecting the fact that Apollo's from a whole year into the future from that, but what he's experienced isn't the point here.]

We might get along well, Trucy, but that's hardly 'part of the family' material.

[She still looks a little shocked at his reaction. Normally he takes her playful teasing in stride, though she really isn't meaning to tease him about this.]

Who cares about how long I've known you? That doesn't change anything.

[Heck, she knew her daddy for exactly one day before she became part of his family.]

The Wright Anything Agency is a family, Polly. Do you think it was just me and Daddy for all those years because there was no one else looking for a spot?

[She tries a little smile.]

Our family is more than a little strange, but it's still special. And you're a part of it.

Of course it changes things! You don't even know me that well!

Look, Trucy. I know what Mr. Wright is up to at the time you're from, because I've already been through it. You can't possibly claim that he invited me over to your Agency because we wanted me to be family!

[Apollo has no idea how close that's actually scraping to the truth, but as it is, he's starting to descend into an almost frantic disbelief. There's just no possible way it's true, and it's not occurring to him that his bracelet would've picked up on a lie.]

Either Mr. Wright felt sorry for me, or he thought I'd be a good pawn against Mr. Gavin, that's it! That's exactly what he did, or what he's going to do! You can't just take that, and... and decide that makes us some sort of a family now!

[Well, she didn't expect that reaction, exactly. The smile fades completely now, and she looks about as shocked as she ever has. For a minute all she can do is stare at him, but then she quickly turns her eyes away from the camera, biting her bottom lip.]
