So, can people teleport here? As in, have you gained that power, or you had it before coming here? Has it changed somewhat, or did you lose it altogether?

And if I wanted to travel all over the world, who should I talk to?

I can't say from personal experience, but that's a remarkable ability. I can imagine why it seems that way, but it's really just an intellectual tool you can use to your advantage. Your teleportation ability and function makes a fair bit more sense.

Do you have a particular field of interest?

That's awfully specific and sounds rather dangerous, but I'm sure you know what you're doing.

[Not really, she's 13, but okay]

Well there's no shortage of scientists among the imPort population. Engineering types for the most part, but there's a couple physicists and the odd biologist.

My PhD was in Computer Science & Engineering actually, but in truth I've done more work in theoretical physics in recent years.

[An assistant? Well, he could afford to pay one and technically she might be too young to hold a proper job]

I can't say I've been looking for an assistant, and I'm not the easiest person to get along with.

But if you'd like to come by the lab at any point, I'm working in the biotechnological division for Starktech at the moment. My fiance is a biologist and my lab partner- brilliant man, for all he may not act it.

[Well she didn't say anything about his male fiance, so there's one test probably passed.]

Dr. Geiszler and I have been working without interns or assistants for long enough that it simply hasn't occurred to us as something to look into. If you can weather our arguments and find yourself interested in learning either or even both fields however, then it's entirely possible.
driftsintobuffetline: (well yeah you could do that)

[personal profile] driftsintobuffetline 2016-07-01 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
But how's your tolerance threshold for stuffy mathematicians? because Hermann is basically the stuffiest.

Maths? Oh, god. Maths. Plural. How British.
Hermann will like you.

I'm the biologist/fiance/lab partner/infinitely better half/etc. Call me Newt.

And I might like you. We'll see!

Oh I can send people away, too. Why do you think Hermann warned about out arguments?
driftsintobuffetline: (can't have too many handtalk icons)

[personal profile] driftsintobuffetline 2016-07-01 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
Feisty! If you can hold your own in one of our arguments, you'd have earned a spot in the lab

Hypothetical. Not imaginary.

Uh. Hermann, when can we pencil her in?
