Behind him, something tiny and black moves, and he picks his hair up and away from it, pulling it over his shoulder for lack of anything else to do with it. A sharp-eyed observer will note that the black thing is a wing. It's small, but it's clearly a pointy, leathery bat wing. Presumably, there's a matching one.]

So... I guess I was ported out.

[His very first port-out after a year and a half. What a strange experience. Riku pauses. He's pretty sure he... owes some people an apology.]

Uh -- sorry. From what I can tell it hasn't been very long, though...? A day or so tops, I think. I saw Kagami made a post, so I thought I should clear things up.

[He's surprised you all panicked, honestly...]

I guess I should thank you all for worrying, though.

[He can tell, buddy. He's pleased to be back himself, honestly. Despite the fact that he's anxious to get this war over and done with, he's happy he didn't stay home for good.]

[Most people would be happy to be home...a small part of him is glad that Riku doesn't share that sentiment. Maybe he just wasn't ready to let go of his friend just yet.]

[His voice loses that edge, and his eyes cast away from the feed. As if he's merely trying to keep up that act of being angry, now.]

[Riku doesn't mind coming back. There are people, Kaneda included, who he doesn't want to leave. He can live his life here and back home simultaneously, it seems. Or at least, something close to it.]
