So. This has been a long couple of days. [The look on his face screams 'I am just so done' so much that he doesn't even have to say it explicitly] Any recommendations for a good bar around Nonah? I got a lot of sorrows to drown and not enough booze to keep me going.

[See, now, he doesn't need deets on what's going down, he gets the gist from the other posts he's checked in on and what his little handy welcome pack told him, he pretty much has that down. As insane that it is. What he doesn't have is a good reliable watering hole and that just isn't right. No man should go days, hours or minutes without one.]

If I spend any more time sober, I might actually start reassessing my life and my choices and I don't have time for that kind of shit. So just help a guy out here. I don't mind if I got to pay a little extra for a good drink but I'm not exactly flushed with cash here so let's not go nuts and send me to like the ritziest place in town. Okay? Reasonable. Prices.

[Wait, he should really clarify here because when it comes to finding a bar, you can never be too specific in your wants.]

Just don't direct me to some dive where they water down the drinks or I will come down on you like the hand of God and smite your ass because seriously, don't waste my time or my money. That shit ain't cute and I will come at you. Sensible suggestions only.

[There's a long pause before he adds:]

While we're on the subject of things I need, I got one more request. I need someone who's good with this thing right here. [He means the device, he even gives it a little shake to just display what he means.] I got a few questions.

It's people like you who keep the rest of us from being sober. And that ain't half bad. Keep up the good work. In a place like this, I doubt it's an easy play to stay sober.

[He really needs to start doing a bar crawl here, he has about a thousand recs now.]

I had a black jag for a while, I never kept it though. Not the best place for a car where I was.

Not all that bad, I got myself a little ray of hope out there but otherwise, nah, not my kingdom or anything.

[He shrugs a little.] I guess if you got a job and friends and shit like that, it's like any other place in the world.

I have a little experience. You seem to be pulling it off just fine. [Being paranoid and hating the government is finally paying off socially. About time.]

That's the thing. As long as I keep the important stuff close to my chest, they can't get everything out of me. [He pauses.] So this whole registration stuff they want you to do. Seems a bit dodgy. Thoughts?

[This guy seems sensible, he likes to ask around with the smart ones first.]

So. [There's a pause as he debates how to do this. There's a sudden tension he can't help but shake. Maybe he was being paranoid? Hard to tell. He always was. Trust no one.] You know me? I don't know you. Feel up to sharing how.

Then I'll check that place out maybe on the second week of being here, you know? Get some potentially non-hostile drinking in before shit gets real.

[ An insulted scoff. ]

Do I sound like the sort that would stoop to American beer?

[ He held a hand to his chest, affronted. ] I only drink the best, and this is something -- like so many other things -- that America does not do well.

[ Cautious is as cautious does. So, he switches everything over to the alleged safe network. ]

When I arrived, I was in a different place and assumed registration was the right thing to do. There are advantages; travel is easier, gaining legal employment is easier, getting what you want is easier. Everything is easier, including the government being able to keep tabs on you. It is also easier to carouse within the system if you are registered, should you care for that sort of challenge. There are plenty of imPorts who will gladly assist those who choose not to. Currently, it is a matter of personal choice.

Nope, I haven't. My mind hasn't been made up just yet. Mostly, I've been focused on adjusting to this place and working at my job.

[And cleaning up the streets of crime as the Black Canary. As much as she could anyway.]

I know that I need to make a decision sooner than later, but it might take a little more time before I do. Maybe I need to follow the advice that I gave to you and talk to other people about it.

[ He nods. But he did say he wouldn't pry, so he doesn't ask what that Ray of Hope it is. ]

Are people usually hostile toward you?

Got it in one. Only way to deal with this place is straight up drunk, twenty four seven. It's a shocker for some more than others, but every appreciates a drink after realising this place isn't just some fucked up dream.

[All those thousands of recs just prove what good people hide amongst the imPort community, willing to help a fellow get drank.]

[ That's something Diablo's considered, but not too deeply -- other things came up before he really had a moment to dwell on the possibility, like, incredibly, that other Task Force X.

Something to mention to Deadshot also, but not now. Probably in person. ]

[ For now, Diablo's just sticking with being tensely agreeable, which is about as agreeable as he ever gets. ]

Anyway, better enjoy it while you got it. Ain't no telling what they gonna try and surprise us with. [ A beat, then: ] Hell if I know where she got uncle from, thought. But, y'know, she don't seem that bad.

Ooh, did you decide where to get a drink yet? I wanna come! Can I come?

I don't know man but an unsettling amount of people do.

[Look, dude, he's been burned before.] I'm not arguing with you on that one. We do some shit right but in the ways of drinking? Nah. I'll leave that in the capable hands of Europe.

I don't care much for the job they gave me, I prefer to find my own worth. I know what I'm valued as.

[He's not looking for a career change here.] I don't really have any friends but good for you, man. Glad something here is working for you.

It's become an unsettling trend. I'm not gonna lie.

Good analogue. See, I ain't never had anything like that but I heard rumours it's a real thing. Good on you, girl. I always assumed that kind of love was total bullshit.

The traffic is gridlocked half the time, people were always trying to jack my ride and you have no idea how often something happens that causes property damage. In the end, the car was just a sitting target.

I always keep my shit locked down. We gotta be careful. I don't like putting my ass on the line and me and you? We're associated. One way or another, people are gonna work that out so time for both of us to be careful. We gotta do this together. As a team.

[It's less an order and more a very strong suggestion but no, Deadshot is used to calling the shots and that isn't going to change any time soon. He wants to protect his interests and to a degree, Diablo falls into that whole bracket now.

On top of wanting to keep them both under the radar and away from trouble, he doesn't want anything fucked up happening to Diablo. Again. They were a team. Even if there was only two of them now.]

I like the freedom. The drinking, the having a place to stay and a phone and shit. That stuff? Not half bad. Not a solution to my problems but better than a cell. [He can't stay here, obviously, but it's not half bad.] And I don't know either but she seems a lot more grounded than the Harley I know. Might actually play in our favour.

See, that's what I don't like. The keeping tabs part. It makes life easier but they get something out of it, don't they? So does it actually make life easier or are they going to make it harder in the long run?

I don't know how much I'm up for that sort of challenge but it's not a bad idea. I'm just unsure what I want to do. I might have a look in at the registration, see what people say. I don't make a habit of trusting the government.

[There's a small pause.] Are you still registered?
