Those of you from an alternate Earth, what similarities or differences have you noticed between this world and yours? Specifically, I'm looking to pinpoint where a great deal of our common ground lies, and if there's a trend where most timelines appear to diverge. Discussion encouraged.

A couple years back? The Japanese developed real synthetic blood and I guess they figured with a reliable food source, there wasn't a need to be in the shadows anymore. They've been mainstreaming for a while, but it's hard going in some places.

So around 2000, then. So far, it seems the early 2000s are rather chaotic for everyone.

I'd say that's fair, for me at least. Everything's been weird since Bush was elected. [Not that it's his fault, but.] Oh, and Disney World is in Orlando at home, forgot that. That's a weird difference.

Yes, I think that's normal, but I'm not American, so I'm not sure. At least one other person has said as much however.

At any rate, the vampires and such have simply been in hiding until recently then?
