Those of you from an alternate Earth, what similarities or differences have you noticed between this world and yours? Specifically, I'm looking to pinpoint where a great deal of our common ground lies, and if there's a trend where most timelines appear to diverge. Discussion encouraged.

Pretty much! And the elves and humans were once working together alongside the other races, but when the humans got greedy (this is a grossly shortened version of the events) they got set apart, and slowly forgot most things about everything.

But apparently an elf was friends with Tolkien, so there's that.
