[It's the hardest thing Kaneda's ever been able to admit, and a large part of him didn't even want to make this broadcast. Something about how this was his business, or how it meant admitting defeat in his search for his best friend and family. His voice lacks the confidence it usually has, the undertone almost a soft squeak, as if he's trying to hold back tears.

That may explain why this is audio.]

[There's an audible inhale and exhale, gloves covering his mouth as he thinks some things over.] So...I'll be taking over Neo Tokyo til I can kick his ass for ditching me with it. You know how to find me.

I guess since after we met that first time. They were the first power I really got used to after I decided to figure out how mine worked. They're pretty massive.

[Flying is always fun, but one day, she's gotta figure out how best to carry other people. It's also a fantastic distraction to having your best friend get Ported out. That and tea.

Mako touches down near the Porter, her black wings glowing with amber and bright turquoise on opposite wings along the feathers. At night, it's a much cooler sight and actually casts pools of light. Her wings flare when she recognises his shape and she waves, calling his name.]

[He had to say, he didn't know what to expect when he said she could fly, let alone have wings. But when he shows up and takes them in, letting the glow be mentally burned into his memory. It was...beautiful, to say the least, and the lights looked not too unlike the lights of Neo Tokyo.

An odd sight for sore eyes, if there was one.


But one thing's for sure--he approaches, and his whole face seems to light up just as much as the amber and turquoise.

Guess that means you approve, huh? [Mako grins at him.] You can touch them if you want. Even though they sort of phase through whatever I'm wearing, they're actually solid, now. The glow is pretty good for night travel.

[Approve is...a light way of putting it, to be sure. Curious hands branch out, nimble fingers looking to inspect the lights that reminded him so much of Neo Tokyo, eyes practically glittering with nostalgic fondness.]
