[Seems Yuu has calmed and mellowed somewhat considerably since last he purposely addressed the network himself proper. Recovered from the Porter pulling Mika back home, only through having the vampire return to him again. Still, regardless of how or why he's managing it, he is. A lot better than a few months ago. He seems in better spirits this time when he addresses the network.]

Hey everyone. Ah, happy New Year. Since that's today, I guess. But ah, seems like everyone's been enjoying themselves. [Probably an understatement, given the celebrations going on pretty much since Christmas.]

Anyway. I had a couple questions, if anyone's able to help. First off is that I guess I have been wondering, since the holidays recently and all, what everyone else celebrates back home? We're from all over, and different times, right? So, some of us probably do celebrate things differently. I guess I'm just kind of curious.

That and -- I don't suppose there's a way to block powers, like, one power specifically? I know there's the nullifiers but don't they work on all powers? It's just one of mine I want to deal with. If there is anything. I dunno, that's if there is anything, or any sort of power someone has that might help. Otherwise, I'll deal with it. I have been already for a while anyway.

[He's just more nervous about the whole seraph thing after hearing more about Nagoya since Mika initially showed up and all. He doesn't want to potentially lose control like that. Doesn't want to unintentionally end up hurting his friends when he loses control often in order to or some sort of desire, desperation, to save them.]

Alas, every nullifier I've seen have affected all powers at once. Which is a shame. There's a certain power that gives me trouble too.

Yeah I was pretty sure that was the case with the nullifiers. But what power do you want to get rid of or try block?

Ah ... well, I can shrink, but my control's a bit poor. I get stuck.

You...oh, so you get smaller. I guess something like that could be handy, but yeah. If it is a new power back home you might need some practice to control it.

[Seems there are various different powers around. Yuu has probably barely heard the half of them even after being here for months yet.]

Yes, well. I don't need it and I don't need to be any smaller.

Which one are you having trouble with?

I might be willing to explain, but only if it's filtered, on the network. Or in person. Why, you think you can help block one specific power somehow?

I figured it worth asking around about anyway. Just in case someone might be able to help out.

It's...this isn't something I want everyone knowing about, okay? But, I was experimented on. There's this seraph gene and if I lose control, I could really do some damage and hurt people. I don't want that to happen here.

I don't. But....it's still got to be a better alternative to losing control here.

[So he figures, given what he heard in the aftermath of Shinjuku of what happened there. And what Mika had previously told him about Nagoya, with Mirai and all.]

If you lose control it's not your fault.

[Yuu's simply too emotional. Too human. But he doesn't judge him for that. Mika's always known his heart's too big.]

It's.....I already have twice back home. I don't want that here too.

[It's been outside influences pushing at him, overwhelming him in his desire to protect his friends. But it's happened before and it could happen again, even if it hasn't yet, while he's been here.]

Both of those times were justified.

[Besides, no one got hurt. Not terribly, even though there was a chance they could have been. Mika's getting used to being stabbed in the back by now.]

Nullifiers work on all powers, and all at the same time, but they aren't easy to acquire either.

I figured. Guess that rules out that option....I dunno. I guess I was hoping there were ones to block specific powers. Or someone's power that could or something.

[So far though, no luck. Which means it is a toss up with also nullifying his connection with Ashuramaru, his demon in his Cursed Gear weapon he uses against the vampires back home on top of dealing with his seraph gene.]

If there was someone who could block powers, wouldn't they have to be around you all the time?

Maybe. Maybe not. I dunno how all these weird powers everyone has works.

Ah, that may be tough. I haven't heard of anyone having that sort of power. To block powers. The nullifiers block everything though.

[She hasn't heard of anyone with the power to block powers yet. Then again, she doubts anyone would brag about it.]

Even after saying all that, we do have inventive geniuses in our mist. Maybe if we ask someone, they may be able to help you out.

You have your earrings but I'm not sure if there's something like that or the nullifiers that just blocks one power specifically.

[It's worth asking. Even if he's not sure he's going to actually come up with anything. But he won't know unless he tries.]

[ He'll pass on the holiday thing -- there's not too much he can contribute new there -- but the question about powers perks his interest. ]

I've never heard of anything like that. There a power you're having trouble dealing with?

Ah, if I had trouble with it here, everyone would probably know about it. But that doesn't mean I might not lose control of it yet.....

[The specifics on the power, well. He'd rather talk about that in person. Or filter the conversations on the network. Just to be safe.]

[ A little caution goes a long way, and it's not the first time Shepard's encountered it. After a moment's hesitation, he flips the message to a more encrypted line. ]
