[The scene: the interior of the living room of one of the housing units. A few lamps have been brought over to provide better lighting. A teenage girl with brown hair fiddles with her communicator, pursing her lips this way and that as she adjusts the video. Once she's satisfied, she smiles, steps back and replaces a bright blue top hat on her head.

Now she's all razzle-dazzle.]

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen! It's so wonderful to be here tonight! My name is Trucy Wright, professional magician, and it's my pleasure to officially introduce myself and my services!

Though you may think my promises are empty... [Her hat comes off again and she shows off the interior. Empty, of course.] I guarantee you won't be disappointed once you experience the joy and wonder of an authentic Trucy Wright performance!

[Reaching into her hat, she pulls out a long string of colorful flags, and a banner of letters which reads "Ta Dah!" There is also a burst of glittery confetti as she holds out the flags as to be readable.]

I'm a princess of parties! A baroness of birthdays! A queen of corporate events! A wizard of weddings! And tons of fun at funerals! Furthermore, my rates are very reasonable!

And if a magician isn't what you need, I also represent the east coast branch of the Wright Anything Agency. Legal consultation! Defense! Paperwork! You will say WOW.

[With a grin, Trucy takes a bow.]

[... then reaches into her hat and starts to pull out a broom.]

I've found someone who transformed once but he didn't know how he did it. I'm not sure if he got a lot of answers when he asked.

Oh! Alchemy. We read about that in school. Those are the wizard guys who can change lead into gold, right?

[Mr. Hat simply glances at Trucy and nods, impressed.

She is really dedicated to selling this.]

We're not wizards, we're scientists. Making gold is illegal in Amestris but that's the right idea. So long as I have the materials, I can make anything.

[Al will play along as long she decides to sell it.]

Aha, I get it. That makes sense. Otherwise you could change dirt into gold and totally ruin the economy.

"Magicians can change a frown into a smile. How's that for alchemy?"

Imagine the kind of tricks you could do with alchemy...

[While he has serious doubts about his military that is one thing he agrees with.]

Now that's alchemy that not even an alchemist can do all of the time.

Yeah, it is pretty handy to have.

[Now she's really going to try to recruit him, right?]

Sounds like it! For instance, if your milk was spoiled, you could turn it into fresh milk instead! Or if you had one kind of cereal in the cabinet but you really felt like another, you could change it into that kind instead!

[Someone skipped breakfast.]

I guess so? [Though it isn't something Al has thought about before.]

Mostly I use it during fights. I can create walls for protection or even attack my opponent.

Sure! I only work part-time right now and spend some time in the library every day so I have a lot of free time. [How could a guy who works part-time and practically lives in the library have any free time at all? Simple. He doesn't sleep. Not ever.]

[With that, Mr. Hat disappears back into wherever it is he goes when he is on Trucy's person at all times under her cape.]
