So uh. Hope everyone's okay after that black out earlier and all. That was....ah, intense. I never even realized how much things here relied on electricity. Back home we didn't have it, so I was used to it but. It's a lot of work to keep things going without it here, I guess.

Oh. Right, I wanted to ask, since I'm looking at going on a trip with Mikleo, if there's rules or anything for this sort of thing? I traveled a lot back home but that was by foot, mostly, not...airplanes and all. I know a little from my job planning vacations but. It's not necessarily something I looked into yet for myself as an imPort. So I figured it'd be best to check while we're getting everything prepared for this soon.

[Like he says, he's sort of tried looking into it. He just doesn't want to potentially forget anything.]

I know! Tell me about some fun places you guys have been too! Here or back home. Mikleo and I traveled a lot back home and saw all sorts of ruins!

I haven't flown here, so I can't say for sure what security is like, but if you're unregistered it's pretty intense on the porters so it might be for flights, too.

Oh, we're both registered so that shouldn't be a problem. I should probably have mentioned that. I know things were a little tense back home but I still got around in Rolance fine once I crossed the border and all. I guess it's different here though.

[ Not a name he recognizes from world geography, which would explain why this guy took walking over planes, but then... he doesn't have absolute certainty that he knows every single country and city name in the world. ]

Yeah, Rolance is the country that bordered Hyland. This place seems completely different though, from what I've seen on the maps. It seems way bigger. Or maybe that's just cause I didn't travel as far back home in comparison to all this, over the water and all.

[They had boats. That would have taken forever to get anywhere in comparison to the planes here.]

You need to be registered in order to fly outside the country. And you can't travel to countries that are allied to Russia.

That shouldn't be a problem. Wait, the pyramids, in Egypt, they aren't allied with Russia, are they? I should probably check that before booking anything yet.

I'm not sure, actually. It was different in my world, here alliances are a bit unusual. You can always ask someone from the government about where you can travel to. I'm sure they have a list of countries.

Yeah, I might ask to check first. Just to be sure. I've been involved with warring countries before so I'd rather not make things any more tense than things already are. Not if I can help it.

[There's other ruins or whatnot that they could visit, surely at least one of them would be in a safer country. If Egypt happens to be out of the picture.]

I don't think you would make things tense for them if you went on your own accord and without asking - mostly, it'd be tense for you. [ they'd probably arrest him for going "awol" ]

You're excited. Well, we've got just about everything planned. Now all we need is a way to get there.

Y-yeah, I am! I've not seen the ruins or anything here yet! But getting there, Egypt is another country, over the water, so. Flying is probably the best and quickest way to get there. I mean there might be boats but that could take a while. I might be able to get the flights a little cheaper through work though? I can ask at least.

[...So that's a yeah, probably flying, Mikleo. It's just one more thing for Sorey to get excited about. Until he gets on the plane and realizes he's expected to just sit there for hours on end. Probably.]

Wouldn't we be able to see more if we used a boat to get there?

[ He does make some good points, though. Still, it's not like that's there only choice to get there. ]

Maybe we could. If there isn't some sort of time limit? I'm not sure on if we're allowed to go for as long as we want or there might be a time they'd want us to get back here.

[Sorey is always up for something new, and something of a thrill-seeker, always curious, so it's natural he is excited either way. He's not even considering that some might....not be so keen on the idea of flying.]

Boat or no, that's still something worth looking into. We can utilize our time better that way.

Yup! Still a couple things to figure for it, but I think we're almost ready. I just figured, we're allowed, so. We should make the most of it while we're here! There's a lot more out there than just this United States.

[Sorey being anywhere for such an extended period of time would inevitable get restless eventually.]

That's true. I've never gone anywhere for leisure purposes, but I should.

I...guess I can't say I have either. At least, not outside of Elysia back home. All that was for helping my friends or in my duties as the Shepherd. So it's about time we did. You should too!

[As if Riku can't guess, but asks anyway.]

Egypt! I wanna see those pyramids!

Hm... that's got me thinking, now. It might be fun to see some stuff... there are all kinds of touristy places, aren't there?

Well, that depends. Are you and Mikleo registered?

Hm? Oh, hey Nike! Ah, yeah. I'm registered. I don't think Mikleo mentioned he wasn't, so we should be fine, right? I think there were more restrictions or something if you're not registered was it?

[Considering more often than not, his bedroom door is usually open, or he hangs out in the lounge a decent amount, he isn't so surprised that Nike overhears and comes to chat about it.]

There is. For one, someone who isn't registered can't leave the country without permission or travel by air, even within the country, without being frisked and searched more than once about it.

[Speaking of experience in her trip with Kagami to Las Vegas at the end of last year.]

But if you two are registered, it shouldn't be too much trouble though. I think as long as you don't head to hostile places, that is. Where are you two thinking of visiting?

I'm not sure if they could frisk Mikleo, whether they could see him. But yeah, I don't think that should be a problem for us.
