She's set the camera a fair enough distance away that no one's getting a close up of her pores. The screen shows a woman in casual clothing with a slight gothic flair, but nothing too outlandish.

"Right. OK. Brand new... resident, for lack of a better word, here. My name's Zatanna. Looking for a few recommendations from people who've been around longer, and maybe some potential business arrangements.

First off, a good vegetarian restaurant, or at least somewhere with a decent vegetarian menu.

Rabbit breeders- not a pet store. Somewhere I can maybe start looking into buying a few well-bred does and bucks for my own hutch, once I find my own place. Unless the roommate I haven't had a chance to meet yet doesn't mind the little critters. I'll take in rescues, too, if anyone knows of an organization like that. Heck, if there is one, I'll volunteer, too. I've got a lot of experience with all breeds of rabbit.

Venues- for the love of good, venues that might want to host a magic show- and any manor of theatre techs, carpenters and anyone else who'd be interested in the behind-the-scenes business.

I can fold in some burlesque aspects to bring in the 18+ audience, it wouldn't be the first time.

Since there's no way to prove I'm actually a world-renowned, second-generation performer back home, I am willing to audition. But if you pull casting-couch BS, I will turn you into a toad.

"No, I breed them as pets, and for stage performance."

She picks up a top hat, out of which she lifts a single white, pink-eyed bunny (not by the ears! Never by the ears! - even when it's an illusory rabbit, like this one).

Both the rabbit and hat disappear into a puff of glittering smoke.

"It may be a little cliche, but with the right set, I have my own spin on things with it."

"Circus tricks. Mm. And they've given you this job here, as well?"

"A bit of that, a bit of the real thing. They have me performing for kids, but... ah. Don't exactly feel like this is something I can do full-time for long."

Fucking. Puppets.

"Then why the need for the rabbits?"

[zee_zatara]

"I'd like to perform on my own. Not just for children.

And I like having them as pets. A little piece of home, you know? They're very comforting to cuddle."

"A piece of home, yeah. Do you keep them in your flat or in the backyard?"

[zee_zatara]

"Still figuring that out. I want to find somewhere reputable to buy or adopt them from first."

I know a man at home, right, who keeps his rabbits in a shed. He's got a bit of yard behind his flat, and the shed is big enough for something like ten at a time. I'm told they make more noise than I might expect; is that true?

Yes, especially if something gives them a scare.

They'll also get pretty aggressive if they're not handled properly or enough.

Ain't explored there much, but I know there's a nice vegetarian shop called Give Peas A Chance 'bout 2 blocks from the teleporter thing. There's a vegan cafe called Romaine Calm like three doors down from it too.

Her tone is jovial- no real threat to turn him into anything, unless he really is that curious.

Well, I was hoping it could be used on a friend of mine, I'm curious if his powers would accept or reject it.

An experiment, you see. It's good to know the limits of one's abilities.

Though I suppose I could use myself as a control if you're certain the effects would naturally reverse.

"I've generally found that mixing powers like that leads to things like chimera- like, the actual kind, not the genetic ones. But if you're really curious, I guess we could arrange something.

Any preference on what you'd like to be turned into?"

I knew a guy that had a giant rabbit. Like small dog-sized giant rabbit. He left though; I'm not sure what happened to it. Might be worth keeping an eye out for?

Not sure which porter city you're in, so I'll cover them all:

Heropa - Liberty Cafe. I've enjoyed the vegetarian chili.
Nonah - Bambino. Stupid name, good food.
De Chima - Brick Room. Not entirely vegetarian, but it's got the best vegetarian dishes in town.
Maurtia Falls - Domus Fare. Again, not entirely vegetarian but it's got a decent selection.

I save the toading for those truly worthy of my wrath. Or, sometimes, I just make people terribly unfashionable. It's surprisingly easy to summon Ed Hardy prints and polyester.
