[Shantae is lounging back in a chair, surrounded by what seems to be... paperwork? Her very long hair is somehow done up in a braid, which even still comes down to the small of her back. She's got a pen in her hand.]
So... hypothetically, if someone wanted to start a business here, how would they do it? 'Cuz back home in Scuttle Town, it's easy. You just need to buy space for it, or a stall, or whatever, and you need to have something to sell, and boom! You've got a business.
But here you have to fill out... forms. And I don't get this stuff at all.
I want to meet the person who invented paperwork and stuff his head in a fish pond. [A pause.] And then let him out, but that dunk would be reaaaaally satisfying...

But I'm just not sure what the limitations are. Like, if someone said "stop the war," I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to do that.
Pretty sure.

Also, you may want to practice a bit anyway. Having granted only one wish before may not be enough experience to jump into a business, especially with all the trouble involved with running a business.
voice.
But it's sort of hard to practice. You know the first rule of wish-granting, right? Everyone only gets three. Period. Ever.
Who wants to give up their wishes for practice?
voice.
I would. I wouldn't like to depend too heavily on something that might only disappear after you exPort, anyway.
voice.
[Hang on.] You think the wishes would go away if I do?! I didn't think about that!
voice.
[ She figures it's probably no coincidence that Ashiah became connected to her own powers after the person whose powers first brought her here ported out. ]

The point is, I know lawyers, I can make a referral.

Though I suppose I can spare the lawyers the time to mention that you probably shouldn't grant any wishes that are against the law.
voice.
That would be a pain in the butt, I'm just saying.
voice.
It would be, but I think there's a certain level of plausible deniability for your legal liability in such a case. This would be a good reason to consult with a lawyer, you could expand that disclaimer we were discussing earlier into a full contract that any client would have to sign before their wishes are granted.
You do that specifically to cover your butt before a pain can develop in it.
voice.
That could work.

That said, I'm sure freedom from liability of anything another would do with a wish you grant would be an important waiver to involve in the process.
