[audio/video]
I'm not going to waste time asking if there is a way off this backwater planet, it doesn't seem as if anyone has managed something so basic thus far. I don't understand why the natives of this planet seem to be proud of themselves as if this planet is something special despite being so primitive.
But it seems as I am stuck here for the foreseeable future so tell me what this planet has to offer, I'm curious to know.
[When he's done writing he switched to video but all that can be seen is a sheet with neatly written, very premise, Aurebesh symbols written on it-
'I'm sure some of you can read this. What is the last thing you recall before arriving here?'
No one seemed to know about Starkiller and the Hosnian System but he had to make sure and know who else was on this backwater planet. He held the paper there for a few moments before finally cutting the feed.]

video;
But he's not going to answer the question just yet, he never explained himself to droids.]
What is your designation and assignment, droid?
no subject
[ The name comes easily enough, but uhhhh... Assignment... uhhhhhhh... ]
I am... not on an assignment.
[ Nice save, Kaytoo. ]
You're an Imperial officer?
no subject
[The droid didn't seem to be aware of the First Order at least, that tells him something.]
Yes, I am. You may address me as General.
[Close enough, at least.]
no subject
[ Saying he's been reprogrammed would be saying too much. ]
General what?
no subject
A pity what happened to Scarif, isn't it?
[There was no emotion in his tone, however. Perhaps K-2SO wasn't there when it was destroyed or hasn't experienced it, at least he gets some warning.]
Hux. You ask a lot of questions for an Imperial droid.
no subject
[ If it hadn't been completely destroyed, maybe Cassian would have lived. So yes. It is a pity. ]
My specialty is strategic analysis. I ask a lot of questions. General Hux.
[ He's doing so good at lying!! Wow, look at him go!! Even though his speech is stilted and not at all respectful sounding, like a droid should. ]
no subject
[He could feel a headache between his eyes but he'll take what he can get now.]
Where are you now? I'm going to take over as your commanding officer.
no subject
[ Right, of course a General would want to assemble forces as soon as possible. Expected. Well, somehow, his lying is working, and he should go along with it, for the sake of finding out more information. ]
De Chima.
no subject
[There is the chance the droid could have been reprogrammed but either way it's something he's going to have to handle and he would rather do it sooner rather than later. And besides, it would be nice to have an Imperial droid at his disposal.]
Where in De Chima? I trust you can give me more precise coordinates.

[He has to figure out his way around eventually and the last thing he needs is people knowing where he lives with Kylo Ren.]
no subject
[ He's sure put himself in a position here. Whoops. ]
no subject
[Hux is already grabbing his coat on his way out the door, he's looking forward to potentially having a droid at his disposal.]
to action?
action
He doesn't have to look around when he arrived, simply walking up to K-2.]
K-2SO. I am General Hux.

What is my new assignment, General Hux?

Scarif was being invaded by Alliance rebels. General Sotorus Ramda was in charge of the Scarif garrison. The last stormtrooper I had seen was TK-4012, on her way to the data vault.
[ All of which aren't lies. So far this is going well. ]
The last thing I remember was being shot.
[ Also not a lie. But his fingers twitch slightly at the memory. ]
... And then I was here.
no subject
What was your specific function? [He needed to learn to use his power so he could at least try to use the droid since he couldn't reprogram him.]
I can't imagine why there was a strategy droid a shielded archive. [he remarked thoughtfully almost to himself as he looked at K-2, taking a deep breath.] I'm going to give you a few assignments through an Imperial droid hardly blends in here. How long have you been on this planet?
no subject
Don't you dare. says his Internal Cassian. Luckily, Internal Cassian wins this round. He keeps quiet and instead makes a slight "whirring" sound, as he attempts to stifle any sort of physical reaction. ]
It was... to... lock down the data vault.
[ Hopefully, Hux will buy his delay in answering as just slight lag in his recollection. After all, he's twelve years old, and certainly looks it. His paint has absolutely worn away and chipped in so many places. ]
I have been here thirty-one days, twelve hours, and twenty-five minutes so far. Earth rotations are identical to those on Coruscant.
no subject
And what have you been doing in that time? There don't seem to be any other Imperials, who have you taken direction from? I'll be taking over from here as your superior officer. I am not sure how the General ran his command but I expect you to follow orders.
no subject
[That certainly was a slip, but he could only keep his thoughts to himself for so long.]
I-
[No, it's okay, he can save this.]
...Did not know. I am outdated.
[Sure, that works.]
I haven't been taking orders from anyone. There's no other Imperials here. My directive indicates I should gather information to make assessments on situations even if there is no assignment given. So I have been studying this planet's history, to better assess the potential war situation from the growing political tension on this planet.
[He tries to not hesitate before saying-]
I will follow your orders now.
[Except not really.]
no subject
[Sorry, Kay, Hux isn't going to spare your feelings.]
Well, since I can't reprogram you just yet, I'm only going to give you a couple of simple assignments. Even though you're outdated, I suppose there is nothing to be done about that.
[He nodded, not surprised. ]
Of course, you will.
no subject
[He doesn't even have a moment to be happy about the fact he just lied, successfully. It hasn't even occurred to him yet, but he'll certainly realize it later. For now, there's a greater concern.]
That won't be necessary. I don't need reprogramming.
[He can practically feel Cassian wincing at him saying that.]
no subject
If you are going to find following my orders difficult, I will simply shut you down. Am I understood?
