[ Wonder of wonders, it's time for a rare as hell Sarah network post. But today is an important day, and for more people than just her, she's sure. When she appears on the network early in the afternoon, she's subdued, but then again, she always kind of is when she's doing something on the network. ]

Anyone else really missing their kid today? Or maybe just missing their mum?

[ That's it. She doesn't have a lot to say. The questions hang in the air for a few seconds, and then she reaches over and shuts the feed off. ]

[ Sarah goes to the window and opens it. To say that she looks surprised to see Cosima, of all people, is an understatement. ]

Hey. What are you doing here?

[doubleblind]

I'm here to see you, obvs.

[And she moves to climb in through the window, because this is an important mission and going through the front door normally, won't do.]

[coppelganger]

[ Sarah steps back and lets her climb in through the window, but she still looks confused by this turn of events. Also about why Cosima is coming in this way and not through the front door. ]

Aren't you... busy today?

[doubleblind]

[Not asking too many questions is a good idea. She crawls through the window easily. Her hair and makeup are done up fancier than usual, an obvious sign that wedding preparations were in full swing, but she's still wearing lounge pants and an oversized sweater. She's also holding a small bundle of sunflowers that she offers to Sarah. She winces slightly at Sarah's words, knowing that she has been extra busy lately.]

I know, I've been busy, but I can make time for this. Happy mother's day.

[coppelganger]

[ Sarah takes the flowers, still confused, but now an expression of sadness starts to creep onto her face. She forces a smile for Cosima, but it doesn't really reach her eyes. ]

Thanks. You didn't have to do this. It's your day and all.

[doubleblind]

[Cosima's own grin, which has been constant in the days leading up to her wedding, drops slightly. The idea behind her visit was to cheer Sarah up, and she's clearly not having that effect.]

Exactly. It's my day. I can spend it however I want.

[coppelganger]

So you chose to spend it with me? Come on, Cos.

[doubleblind]

Why wouldn't I spend it with you?

[Cosima looks over at her, unusually serious. She idly twists one of the bracelets around her wrist as she waits for Sarah's answer.]

[coppelganger]

You can do whatever you want. But I didn't post that video so you'd pity me and decide to drop everything and come over on your wedding day.

[ She doesn't sound angry, but it's clear she's being serious. ]

[doubleblind]

[Cosima sighs, clearly frustrated and taking this just as seriously as Sarah is. Is the there because of Sarah's post? Yes. But she's not there out of pity. She wants to be there for her sister and her wedding day doesn't stop that.]

Sarah. Come on. You really think I'm here out of pity? I'm here because you're my sister and not everything is about me today. Just like, 80% of things, give or take one normal standard deviation.

Also, pretty sure all the wedding planning people were thrilled to get me out of the way. [After a morning of Cosima flitting around "helping" prepare decorations and food, they'd be sending Sarah flowers if they could.]

[coppelganger]

What, were you hanging around being obnoxious? I don't believe that at all.

[ She says it not unkindly, though, and gestures for Cosima to take a seat on the bed. ]

[doubleblind]

[Cosima accepts the invitation without hesitation, sitting cross-legged on the foot of Sarah's bed. She drums her fingers against her knee in an upbeat pattern, too full of excited energy to keep still.]

The last straw was when I told them their science-y desserts were inaccurate and we needed to alter the shape a little... [She seems pretty proud of herself for getting kicked out of her own wedding preparations.]

[coppelganger]

[ Sarah sits beside her, legs crossed, hands in her lap. ]

So are you nervous? [ She realizes that she and Cosima haven't really spoken about the wedding before now. Cosima doesn't seem like the type to be nervous, but Sarah knows she would be if she were the one getting married. ]

[doubleblind]

[A pause, the first sign that Cosima is nervous, as she bites her lower lip.] Yeah. Little bit. [She looks at Sarah quickly, still smiling, but softer, calmer than her usual grin.]

But in a not bad way? I mean, I feel like it'd almost be a bad sign if I wasn't nervous at all.

[coppelganger]

Yeah. Probably. I wouldn't know. But you'll be okay, Cos.

[doubleblind]

If the whole thing's a disaster, I'm remembering this conversation.

[She pauses again.]

I'm glad you're gonna be there for it. Wouldn't be right without you.
