A calm, enduring smile has curved over his lips and blue eyes seem steady, no nervousness to be detected. ]

Good day to you, fellow imports and others who might have access to these recordings. I'll start by introducing myself, to those who aren't familiar with me. I am Professor Charles Xavier, recently brought to this situation, like I imagine has happened to quite a few of you. I would like to address the network for a few matters that are of both personal and public nature.

Firstly, I would like to welcome anyone who has problems with adjusting to their possibly new powers and abilities to contact me for help. I have decades worth of experience from mentoring powered individuals. If you need help, do not hesitate to contact me.

[ He takes a moment to consider his words, looking at something else beyond the camera lens. Then with a mild clearing of his throat, he continues: ] My second matter is much more personal and not as much an announcement as it is a request.

I've been notified that I've spent some time in this place before. Several times, apparently. I'd love to get together with those of you who have known me before, fill these empty spaces in my memories if you will. Please, contact me.

I haven't had any trouble so far, but I have also kept my experimentation with them to a minimum, given I have housemates who would likely not appreciate my breaking anything here. I had heard of a woman in my world with power over rocks and the earth, but while my son met her, I never did; I have no idea how she managed it.

Of course if Charles does Ask Questions, she won't say anything about her weird mutliversal connection to Peter and Erik until she knows for sure that Charles has been told, but, you know.] I knew you last time you were here.

Ah, my power is telepathy. However, mostly it's just my experience that makes mentoring a comfortable fit for me. I run a school for gifted children back in my home world.

is there a way to know what the limits of my healing factor are? because having nearly died twice here already i have a rough idea but i do sort of want to know where the line is so i don't end up dead from a bad idea combined with overconfidence

I've seen healing abilities that are quite remarkable. But that is a hard one to gauge. And I'd advise against doing something drastic while testing it out.

What kind of experiences you have with your healing ability? How fast is it?

There are no wrong questions. Trust me, I'm not judging you for your desire to see how far you can push it. Usually that is how I teach my students. When you learn the limits of your ability, it's easier to start gaining control. But in your case, I am hesitating to follow my own methods.

A whole lot of awkward and a uncertainty and just feeling like there was a hole in his chest where a person should have been while a ghost with their face and name walked off to live a new, different life.

I have been here for a few months but my powers have only started...showing up. There is the training facility that I could go to but I am honestly a bit nervous going there. Especially since I'm not sure how I can learn to control the one power I have.

They probably are very well equipped to handle such things in the training facility. But I understand the hesitance when it's something so very personal and often intimate as well. It's hard at first to trust someone else to understand the things you understand about your own powers. But trust me on this, it does make it easier to have someone else beside you, at least talk with when it comes to your powers.

It depends on what kind of help is needed. Sometimes it's just a case of learning ways to activate and control those powers, sometimes it's more complicated.

[ Charles hates to disappoint these people he used to know. But he hates the idea of ignoring these connections even more. The whole thing is awfully confusing and overwhelming. ]

Teaching is familiar and something I'm comfortable with. I suppose I wasn't interested in it anymore when I was here the last time. I'm not quite sure why, though.

But that's right. He doesn't know Kaneki at all now. It's a good thing in a way, because while Charles was in this world, he got to see Kaneki at his very worst, in a downward spiral of despair and self-hatred. He even got to meet Kaneki's mind, and that was a wild ride for both of them. That whole part has been peeled away, but if Kaneki were to admit to it, that hardly matters honestly.

It's difficult to be forgotten and just become a stranger.

When you say 'powered individuals,' does that mean you've worked with aliens, along with metahumans?

Metahuman is a term I've never heard before but it seems like an appropriate way of describing what I have been working with. We're called mutants in my world. Humans that have evolved to display incredible powers.
