[The video turns on, showing Sam Winchester. Hair a bit shorter than the previous one, looking a few years younger, wearing a green, light jacket and a blue and white check shirt.]

[He looks surprised. And a little lost.]

I've got to say. I expected Hell to look a lot less metropolitan. [He holds up a hand.] I know, I know. I read the packet. Not Hell, just Florida. Though I'm pretty sure more than a few people back home would have said that there wasn't much of a difference.

[The smile he gives his own joke is wan. Yeah, he knows it's a bad one. It's what he's got for the moment.] I didn't see it in the file, but are you here, too, Dean? Not sure if I should hope for that or not, actually. But if I'm hallucinating, I'm pretty sure I'd drag him in, too.

[He pauses a moment, considering, before adding--] If this ISN'T a hallucination, I suppose I should introduce myself. Sam Winchester. Uh...pleasure to be here, I suppose.

[Lucifer looks at Sam like he is the most precious thing in the universe.]

Hell isn't so much about the place as the feeling. And those are feelings that stick with you forever,

Winchesters don't do feelings.

[Which isn't quite right. Sam does feelings. He's just...ignoring this one. A lot.]

Is there a point to this, Lucifer?

[Liars burn in hell, Sammy.]

If this is all a hallucination, how would I know?

[Not like he isn't heading there anyway. Just got sidetracked.]

I have pretty much worked out that it's not a hallucination, you know.

[He shrugs. It was worth a shot.]

How long did it take to realise that, when you got out of the Cage?

Not that long, really.

[More that he couldn't actually believe where he was, honestly.]

Did the hallucinations stop once you'd decided you were sane?

I'm more wondering why I'm even talking to you, honestly.

That's something only you can answer, Sam.

[While he certainly has a point, that doesn't mean Sam has to like it. He glares at the device for a moment before reaching out to turn it off.]

[If only it had been that simple back home.]
