[ the feed flickers on to the image of a young girl, sporting her trademark red bandanna. unlike may's usual chipper attitude, her expression at the moment looks a bit uncertain and serious. ]

So... I have a question for you guys. You know Archie, right? The big buff Pokémon Trainer that wears wetsuits a lot? Talks like a pirate?

[ she'll even hold up a drawing to the feed for a visual - it's a bit of a simple, cartoonish sketch (she's 12, cut her some slack), but the blue bandanna, cross-shaped face shadow and shapely beard should be enough to give the right idea to who she's describing. ]

I kind of wanted to know if he's been... "up to" stuff here - like, crime stuff. I don't think you should be worried - I mean, he's a good guy! He just has a really extreme way of going at things, you know? And sometimes those extremes end up being super illegal.

[ she wants to trust his word that he's reformed, but there's a lingering worry in the back of her mind. some of the people here must have been talking to him since before she showed up, and she wants their honest observations to put her . ]

I just wanna know if he's behaving himself like he promised me back home. You guys HAVE to tell me, okay? I think I'm kind of responsible for him at this point. [ she reaches to click the feed off, but before she does- ] And don't tell him I asked!

No, Archie's a good guy. He told me he stole a sub, once, but other than that, he's literally just been petting weird animals and shit. He let me crash on his couch a few times, and helped take care of my cactus.

[ archie is probably the only person she trusts here, so. she feels pretty strongly about this. ]

Yup. I basically had to chase him across the ocean when he took off in it.

[ it was cool to cross the water and dive down into the depths, but the circumstances sure could have been better. still, tara's comment puts her smile at ease. ]

I'm really glad to hear that, though. He's kind of sweet deep down, right?

[ she has to giggle at both his words and his attire. she's not sure how keen archie would be on someone trying to #StealHisLook, but to may it just looks silly on anyone but him. ]

Yeah, that definitely sounds like him... I just hope he's not getting himself into trouble.

He has been very kind to me thus far. I think it is unfair of you to judge him on his past actions; he has helped me a great deal in adjusting to the rules of this world and in finding food to eat, he is a good paternal figure for several of the younger residents, and he yet to commit a crime of even the smallest magnitude.

People can change, young Gospozha, but only if you give them the benefit of the doubt and the room to do so. Don't judge a man so harshly for who he was. He has been a good friend to many, here.

[ yeah, that's the first thing that she took from all of that. it seems like the most pertinent point, but there are others! ]

I'm not judging him, though... I'm just worried about him. [ she bites her lip. ] I trust him, really! And I know he's good, but I felt like it'd bother me for a while if I didn't at least ask.

[ she sighs, pausing for a moment to think. may is an honest girl - she doesn't want people thinking badly of archie, but it's not like they can deny what happened. ]

He led a gang back in our world. I think they started out with good intentions, but they still stole things and intimidated people... and it all led to the world almost being flooded by a super-ancient Pokemon.

I've known Archie since he arrived here. Since he's been here, it's clear to see that he's really trying his hardest to make up for past actions. [She isn't letting her bias show. She's seen people making up for their past before to know what he's doing.]

He's a sweetheart really.

[ she sounds genuinely relieved that things have gone well for him so far. it means that things can change for the better now, and archie can use his dedication for something good. ]

You know, it's a little suspicious to give any type of info to a kid that says we HAVE to tell them anything, or not to tell the person in question about this particular post to boot. It makes you look a little suspicious.

[Not to mention the way she is asking for any wrongdoings he may or may not have done. She can't help have her guard a little high considering the younger girl was talking about someone she considered a friend.]

Give me one good reason I shouldn't tell him about this?

[ she's initially ready to fire back, but pauses before she speaks. she doesn't want people to think that she's hostile towards archie, or trying to ruin his reputation. ]

I don't want him to think that I don't believe in him. I really do, but...

[ she sighs. the look of sadness in her eyes is real - if he relapsed into crime, she's not sure how she would take it. ]

So far he's been more of a nuisance that'll lock you into a conversation about sharks than a criminal.

[ She's actually wryly amused at the moment. ]

I met him at the beach and he doesn't seem capable of misbehaving.

[ considering she cleaned up his (semi-unintentional) mess, she just wants to make sure the people of this world are safe. but that's not all of it, either. ]
