[The feed opens up as soon as the device hits a solid surface. Wherever it is, it's dark and the sound of rushing water's hard to miss. A few circuits pop and spark, interrupting like a loose strand of firecrackers. A bit of blue there, a splash of white here. The recording catches a solo pipe swinging above; shooting out of the dark as it hangs precariously by the hinges.]
Hmn-?
[From the side of the feed, Greed emerges. Sans the usual shades with a comical frown to match. His ankles serve as a gauge for the damage - leveling out just where the cuff of his pants end and his boot begins. He slowly raises an eyebrow and his lower-lip drops. From behind, another wire pops and spits, sending a flurry of sparks to highlight his back.]
[A snap, a crackle, and the feed goes dead. A minute goes by, then two. When it finally comes back, the recording is hovering dangerously off a brick that's somehow managed to stay propped out of the water. And while an electric source is still pulsing, this time the white-blue is muted out. A red spark shudders in its place, then another; arcing in the opposite direction of the building's current, wandering wild.]
[It fades after a while. Or at least after Greed places a hand to his neck. He slowly rises back out of the water, the last-tremors of that red glow buzzing through the slits of his fingers. His jaw hangs loose, his neck sways to the side, and everything in between crunches back together.] Tsk-
[There's not a light left after the brief show. The dim coming off the phone's the only saving grace. And he's noticed it finally. After his eyes roll back open.] - this thing on? [Not exactly smooth, but well. Greed grabs the device and shakes it a few times to get some of the water off.]
Gunna guess this went through. [Knowing his luck, it did. He swipes his thumb across the screen. While it's hard to make out what's behind him, the flood of water is still coming in. But the flow's trickling off; less of a rush and more of a spat now. From the looks of things, the area's part of the basement he's (mostly) kept hidden from view.]
Well, no use hiding it - [One last brush against his thigh and Greed turns the feed over to survey the damage.] - don't suppose any of you are handy at this sort of thing?
[Momentary electrocutions aside, there doesn't seem to be a hint of damage on his end.]

♠ SO SHOOTS OFF MY WEEKEND HIATUS. The 'Nest should be back in full-functioning order come next week or at least for the most.
♠ Unsure if an accidental video is kosher. If not, no worries. I'll change this sucker.
♠Also this is the stupidest shit ever.

[Greed tests his neck again, pushing the butt-end of his palm in. Thankfully, the last bit of water seems to be trickling right off. But to avoid a second shock to the system, he's on a lower step to avoid the leveled-off water.]
Would take a bit more than that, friend.

And that's right - I'm not exactly human either. [But close enough to count. Or at least, enough not to warrant unwanted attention.]

Not really something I was planning. [Upper lip curls, teeth all out. Greed pries one eye open to take a gander at the feed.]
Don't suppose you have anything useful.

[Good news is that this part of the basement is further down below. Where the main bar's hardly an issue. Still, even in the dark there's a spit-pop of water. The initial disaster is over, but the clean up?]
[Well - ] Don't think I really have to spell it out for you. [Greed flashes a toothy smile. Jagged edged to cut the corners of his lips a bit sharper.] Looks like a pipe or two. Eh-
➥ VIDEO | 2/2
[Because fuck if he's going to be the one to fix it.] It wouldn't be a bad deal. And you should know by now that I am fair.

I've got lots of talents, but plumbing isn't one of them. Sorry, Greed.
Anyway, I'm not asking about the pipes. It looked like you got shocked there. You okay?

I'll get my rain boots ready.
[ she'll be unhappy if she has to handle buckets for this. ]

Besides - unless you know how to work this sort of thing, don't think it'll do much good.
[A beat:] But then again, you've surprised me before. [Lazily, he lifts his wrist and his hand opens against the concrete-slab it's currently propped up on.]

[ she looks at her skirt with a frown, pinching at it with two fingers. why is she even wearing it? getting up, she grabs her communicator as she goes to pull a few things out of her closet. ] Besides, you'll want the help draining it out, and I can certainly speed that process along.
I also know of an electrician we might call.

[But c'mon.] And here I thought you and I were good pals.

[Greed swings back towards the feed.] Though coming from someone like you - [He chimes in; as one of the lights finally kicks back into gear further down the corridor.] - didn't really take you for a pissant.
[It's said with a hint of a jest. Really, he doesn't much give a shit.]
[A flick of the glance up and Greed's eyes sag closed.] Not something that can't be fixed. Though can't really say it's something I wanted.

And I didn't think you so tender as to be offended by a simple question.
[Obviously joking, but dishing it right back.]

[Whether it's a good or a bad one is completely up to interpretation.] Not about to deny it. [He says, not without a widening grin and a flaunt. A toss of the elbow is a silent gesture to the surveying damage.]

[But first:] Gunna guess you're new. [He peels away from the feed with a curbed grin that promises nothing at all good.] You've heard of Maurtia, right? Head north.
[A small clap of his foot sends a pebble plopping into the still water.] And I'm sure we could work out some sort of deal.
➥ VIDEO
I believe I am not sure what you are asking about in terms of past locations but I am aware of Maurtia! Unfortunately, I am all the way in Florida. [ He sighs. ] I will have to get to the porter, teleport myself, and then head north. [ He's still willing to do it, he's just emphasizing how much effort it's going to take. He needs the information Greed may possess and he's quite sure that, if things go horribly
deadlywrong, he can at least defend himself and escape. ] I will also have to get some more pipes, unless your pipes are in condition to be alchematized! [ Who cares if he just made up a word? It's super flashy. ]➥ VIDEO | 1/2
