[In a complete and utter surprise, Futaba is posting to the network off anon. Mostly because she'd give away too many details to maintain her alias otherwise. The post starts out with two pictures of seemingly identical cats, both black and missing an eye. They are adorable though. And then comes the text.
Everyone needs to meet Caroline and Justine. Respectively. Caroline is coming home with me, so you have been warned Heropa #10. We have a cat now. No arguments.
If anyone knows or lives with one Goro Akechi...he's the one that has Justine. Good luck with that, because Caroline is the best of the pair. I mean look at that face.
[And another, somewhat terrifying, picture of "Caroline" is attached.]
All that being said. Pet stores. Name em and give me opinions. Cat needs to nom.

I missed Mona...They might still have some at the pound if you really want one.

But I miss Mona too. I just don't know if it's responsible of me to take in a cat right now.
[Morgana wasn't much of a responsibility, after all. He'd been able to take care of himself. Akira would feel guilty having a regular cat that he couldn't take with him everywhere.
What's it supposed to do while he's at school?!]
no subject
[Because really, if she had been allowed to name them it would have been a disaster.]
...I guess that makes sense.
[Akira. She doesn't go to school. She avoids it still--are online classes a thing? She'll do those if it keeps her from being truant.]

[He guessed that Akechi named them, because well... It was pretty obvious. And he could definitely see Futaba giving them some sort of really terrible names. They'd still be good to Akira, frankly.]
I've got like two jobs already. Mona was great because I could just take him everywhere, and he'd always behave enough to not be noticeable.
no subject
[She is actually a bit concerned about that second statement. Two jobs? And she knows school is a thing. Don't push yourself, Akira!]
Why do you have two jobs?
You know, Mona could show up here. I wonder what that would be like.
no subject
[Akira might be biased.]
Well, the job the government gave me is just part time clerk work, and I met someone who needed help running his coffee shop, so I wanted to get in there for sure.
It'd be nice to have him here. Or any of the rest of our team, but. You know what I mean.
[He'd lived with Morgana for a large part of the year, and waking up without that weight on his bed, going to bed without having Morgana telling him that he looked tired and should go to bed, not having him in his bag... It made Akira a little lonely.]

[If he had come with us back in Shido's palace, would they had become friends like this? Would they have had the chance?]
Being in a coffee shop really does suit you. Though having to work really makes me miss all the treasure we could find on missions.
...If you ever miss him too much, you can come stay here and have time with Caroline.
no subject
[Not that they'd ever have a chance to know, and knowing that they'd forget all of this if they went home made him... not feel great. He'd go home never knowing if things could be worked out or if Akechi was irredeemable, no matter what happened here.]
I suppose I'm just used to making myself busy.
You know I had four jobs at home? All part time, but I worked a lot.
Thanks. I think I'll be okay though. That doesn't mean I won't wanna come over and see Caroline from time to time, though.
no subject
Maybe that's why Mona kept telling you to sleep all the time.
...The offer is always there, Akira. You've helped me...now it's my turn to at least offer.
no subject
Hah! That could be it! He used to come with me to all of my jobs. Maybe he thought I was running myself ragged.
[Maybe he was right. Akira didn't sleep as much these days, spending too much time out at night. No one stopped him from doing exactly what he was interested in at any given moment, and he could get carried away doing any number of things.]
I appreciate it, Futaba! I'll definitely take you up on the offer. I have to meet your new child, after all.
no subject
[She'll do it too, Akira. Don't make her think it's necessary.]
Yes. She has to meet every member of her family.
no subject
[He was tired and stressed out, but he could easily lie about it in text form. Either way, it wasn't something Futaba needed to worry about unless he started dozing when they had their meetings.]
When should I come over? You don't have any plans in the near future, do you?
no subject
If I find out you're not I'll haunt you until you sleep.
[Seriously, she'll just stalk your place and make you sleep. Tuck you in and everything.]
I don't make plans...usually, and you're always welcome. So whenever you're weird "I actually do things" schedule sets you free.
You really need to stop accepting side quests.
no subject
I promise I'm taking care of myself, don't worry!
That sounds good then. I'll come over sometime during the day!
no subject
I'll be waiting. So with Caroline.
