So, first of all: for all the new imPorts, hi. Welcome to America. Or welcome back to America if you were already there in your world. If you need clothes, I can get you started. [She's going to systematically infect these new imPorts with an appreciation for the '80s, so help her god.] Just swing by the Second Time Around Vintage Clothing Shoppe and ask for Veronica Sawyer. I'll even get you a discount.
Second, has anyone seen my housemate? He's not so tall, speaks Spanish pretty well, and he's from space. We're worried about him, he just up and disappeared one day. [Jyn's already said her piece on the subject, so Veronica's bit on this is quick, and here the benefits of text come in handy—no one can hear her voice cracking with worry.]
Third, does it count as a birthday if you celebrated it maybe less than six months ago? Because I turn 18 in two weeks, but back home, before I came here in May, it was early November, so really this year I'd be 17 and a half on my birthday. Probably.
Keeping track of this is a lot harder than it should be.

Why are you looking for him? I believe I know who you are looking for and can provide some information.

Apparently they do. They also speak a ton of other languages in space, but I wouldn't know, I just went straight for the swear words.

If he is gone, it's possible he could come back in a few days? Or so I've been told.
text > private; text
I didn't know that was possible. Thank God.
[The next line sent is private:] I think I did something very stupid.

And as for birthday, yes, I did count mine. Even though that gives me a stranger age.
[ Text ]
I'm almost afraid to ask, but: how old are you?

i would like some vintage earth clothes. they look a lot better than the current stuff. do you sell anything from the 1950s era?
[she doesn't know shit about the '80s, but the '50s is her obsession thanks to old timey sitcoms.]

Secondly: do you do tailoring? In the past, I've had to have clothes tailored. I'm taller than most people my age.
text;
[On one hand, she won't have to deal with high school anymore, but on the other hand, she just wants to be a normal teenager for as long as possible, considering she didn't exactly have the chance back in Sherwood.]
No, sorry. I'm not the best tailor there is, but maybe I can find someone who's good at it.

I'm sorry about your friend. Is there anything I can do to help?
text
Right now? Just keep an eye out for him. You can't miss him, he got a head wound from last month's mess and shouldn't even be out of bed.p

There's a whole variety of sunglasses here, you'd have to specify what type you want.

And birthdays still totally count. Or...I counted mine a week ago. Guess it depends on what you want to do really.
Video;
I am honestly not sure what I want to do. On one hand, I stop being legally barred from purchasing cigarettes, voting, taking on a full-time job. On the other hand? I've been seventeen for six months, I haven't done everything I wanted to do before I become legally an adult.

I'm sorry about your friend. Is that the same person Jyn's looking for?
I say it counts if you want it to count. I like having birthdays, but I know some people don't like the idea of getting older.
no subject
Yeah. I think he'd stick out from a crowd considering he has a head wound and shouldn't be moving around.
The weird thing about all this is? I used to look forward to it. I still am, it's just that [I stopped thinking I'd make it to eighteen two hours before I got here] six months is a pretty significant difference, I think.

if you get to pick, you should definitely do it
you get all the legal benefits of being an adult
but no one actually expects you to act like one
no subject
But also, I've been seventeen for about six months so far, and I've only just started to catch a break from the shit-a-thon. I kind of want to enjoy it till I do turn eighteen.
