[Lorna is sitting in a bakery. There's evidence of a recently consumed danish on the plate on the table between her and the phone's camera. Maybe that's why she looks so pleased. Or maybe it's because she's alive and sometimes that's a rush all its own.]

I thought I'd introduce myself, since I just got here and it seems like the thing to do. I'm Lorna Dane. It's pretty nice to be somewhere sunny. Or anywhere at all.

Anyway, I'm still a little fuzzy about things here. I don't know that I'll get over being accepted by the population at large anytime soon. That's definitely not how it is back home. I wonder what else is different that people don't know to tell me about.

On the one hand, I want to know if there are people from home here so I can either catch them up on the gossip or be caught up myself. On the other hand, I think this might be a really good time to make a break with my old life and try something new for a change.

I'm a publicist now, which is going to take some adjustment. Still, it's nice to have a civilian job again.

I don't really have a point to make, I guess. Just that I look forward to getting to know people and hopefully things will be less ridiculous than home here.

I was a geophysicist. Or, well, that was my last civilian job. Though I did work for a corporation as a super hero, so maybe that was my last civilian job? It's hard to say, the lines are blurry when it comes to costumed vigilantes, not that I'd think you'd know anything about it.

[She's rambling again. She closes her mouth and brings her phone closer to her her face so she can see better. Say hi to Lorna's forehead and hairline, daddy.]

Um, you look like a way younger version of someone from back home, Mr. Lensherr. I'm not sure what to make of it.

Yeah, threw me for a loop, too. I'm definitely not used to people not getting weird about it if they see me without my skin suit.

There was an issue with vandalism recently, but that was more a few bad apples, and most of the people here seem to actively like us.

There's a whole lot in that response I'd like to hear more about. What vandalism? What do you look like without your skin suit?

Of a sort. I've worked with the government before as a masked hero.

Green and scaly. And there was this incident, after some stuff happened and there was a lot of destruction mostly caused by clones and so not our fault, and some people decided that spray paint and broken windows was a valid way to lash out at imPorts. Fortunately, the government seems to be on our side in all this, and unlike back home, it's not only when they think you'll help them enslave the human race.

So, was it much like this place? Some kind of semi-official status?

Wanda's planning to meet back up with Lorna later after she had a chance to scope out some of the other things in the cities on her own, talk to a few people over her device, blah blah blah. And after Wanda had a chance to go check on her bakery.

That's good to know, but there are different universes in play that I know about. A name won't necessarily mean much if it's attached to someone who's from a different universe.

I'm pretty happy to be here so far. My world just exploded, so that's a downer.

It is really great that we can have something new here. The fresh start is the best thing about being here. Things can get ridiculous at times, but it's worth it for that.
